Agree with pou.Burt is tiny and offers nothing.
A few years back his support play and elusive dummy half runs/breaks made hima frist grade player.But the last 2 yrs i dont think he offers anything to the team but goal kicking

I don't think anyone disagrees that Burt is small.

His real asset was his speed and quick acceleration, making him elusive. But old age doesn't discriminate, and burt is now non effective.

His size isnt his problem, it's his strength and hatred of collisions.

There are plenty of similar sized and effective wingers, that are much stronger and aggressive.

My only argument with poo is that there won't be any more wingers Burt's size. Yet we still have some very good ones running around.

I agree strength is more important than size, but you can only be so strong for your size.

I also reckon Burt is noticeably smaller than guys like Nightingale and Perrett - if you saw those two in the street you would notice they're big blokes. They look like footballers.

Utai is a midget (and thus shit under the high ball) but he's built like a brick shithouse (and thus immensely strong). He also looks like a footballer.

Burt looks like a soccer player. In the future blokes like him will play fullback/halves or they won't play at all.

This bloke has to be in the side next year. Proved again tonight he is our most dangerous back by far. No- one can deny that surely. Gee he can throw a pass.(except the shocker to Burt) And what about the step.

Although I'd prefer Hayne to be our fullback, I wouldn't mind him in the #6 if it meant Mullaney at the back.

I hope we don't let him get poached. He definitely deserves a spot in next year's 17. Knowing our good friend Ricky Hayne is going to be playing every position but fullback so I guess Mullaney is lucky. Don't know what will happen in 2014 when Hopoate comes though.

I disagree on him "definitely deserving" a spot in the 17. Heck no. Perhaps he deserves a spot in the top 25? But if we're relying on blokes like him to form our top 25, we might as well book the spoon again for next year.

You Merkins saying Hayne needs to be moved to accomodate Mullaney should get your heads examined. Bloke spends a few weeks out with injury and you've already forgotten how awesome he is at the back. Mullaney to the wing to replace burt improves that position for us. Sandow to kick goals and Hayne to take his rightful place at the back.

We still won't beat shit until our forwards pull their fingers out of their lazy asses though so it's all irrelevant. The chosen one can't single handedly win 12 games every season.
