Jamaica players

Not sure. Karl Pryce is Jamaican, he's still only 32, I have no idea why he retired at 30, I can only assume it was injury.

Because he had the heart of a pea and the effort of an asthmatic snail. Lots of natural talent, just no desire to apply it.

Heritage players... according to the media, they are a joke in RL but it is Xenophobic to mention it in RU. Another example of biased reporting of an issue that exists in both sports:

Doesn’t Rugby Union have more instances like Semi, pro athletes move to a country then rep for them.
I know there was some islander a few years ago who the home office were ready to deport, six months later he was playing for England RU.

Yeah that happens all the time. England RU currently have Denny Solomona and Ben Te'o playing for them and some nations like Japan are pretty much entirely made up of overseas players who qualify on residency, at the last RU World Cup they had Craig Wing playing for them FFS. IMO much more stupid and a lot less legitimate than the heritage teams we see in RL.

That's really nice, and in the last Rugby Union World Cup they had Craig Wing playing for them.

And in that squad there were also 21 of 31 players born in Japan.

Once again your assertion that "some nations like Japan are pretty much entirely made up of overseas players who qualify on residency" is shown to be bullshit.

Ben Te’o is actually heritage. As an English/Samoan Kiwi who moved to Australia as a minor. He could play for all 4 nations without the residency rule involved I believe.
Although he is the exception.

Out of interest are there other well known Jamaican players who didn’t play for them in the qualifiers?

Please don’t turn this into a heritage vs home grown debate like every other thread on here.
I really liked the idea of this thread.
Let's just find out who's eligible?

For the home grown/ heritage arguments-plenty of other threads for that so kindly fxck right off! It was the one thing that was asked of you at the beginning of the thread! Dumb fxcks!

So

WHO'S ELIGIBLE?

THEIR QUALITY?

THEIR POSITION?

INJURIES/ RETIRED/ IN PRIME, PASSED IT OR COMING THROUGH?

Someone want to have a go at the 17?

Ah great, only 1/3rd of the squad that had nothing at all to do with Japan then.

You are really good at the "not a clue" assumptions. good showing that. That's 1/3 not born in Japan only.

No mention of heritage players, or those who now have Japanese passports or Japanese family.

Keep digging, you are going well.
