Lol @ idiots expecting all players to be at their best at a new club. Hell even Issac Luke has struggle the first 2 rounds at a new club. Players need time, Milford took 6 or 7 weeks before he made many eat humble pie, some are still choking on it unable to swallow it like they do their boyfriends loads.

I thought more a LOL for the bronco fanboy who gets worked up when not one person has stated that at this point of the season he should be at his best at his new club. Miraculous effort. Based on your little outburst, is it fair to assume you're the jets oral receptacle?

lol

What's pathetic, is that people are having a massive sook about what some journalist wrote about a local player in a local newspaper.

No one on here is claiming Roberts is the best centre.

As for current form, he's doing a job in a quality team. His time to shine will come.

Aren't you still having a sook about what someone said about Packer?

It looks to me like people are laughing at yet another delusional broncos fan. Before he signed with the broncos, Roberts was just another centre. Now he is the fastest player to have ever played, can run the 100m in world record time, and is the best centre in the world.

I have a strong opinion on letting convicted thugs playing NRL. Slightly different to having a sook about how a local paper describes a local player.

Good work on the hyperbole though.

lol, why don't other local papers write the equivalent garbage for their local readership then?

the fact that broncos/news limited are jointly owned doesn't even help them, I read a lot of the tigers, manly, raiders stuff and none of their clubs write such garbage.

IMO it comes down to the Courier Mail is run by simple people, for broncos fans who are... well look at this forum you have you, IBM two class acts there.

It's just inconceivable that a journalist could claim the current dally m centre of the year, is actually the best centre in the NRL...

So what you're saying is that Austin > Milford?

No, im not saying that at all. You're confusing my personal opinion for that of the person who wrote the article.

I personally dont think Roberts is the best centre in the NRL. There are so many I rate above him.

However, it's pretty clear that (the dally m) is where the journalist has pulled the 'best centre in the comp' line from.

You commit a serious crime, the courts impose a term of imprisonment and you serve it. At the completion, you are released and entitled to earn a living. I don't see the point of denying such a person the ability to make a living, and the legality of it would be doubtful as well.

Of course you are entitled to earn a living.

However, there are many professions which a serious assault conviction would mean you can no longer work in that profession, mine included. I'd have to find a new career, however that wont be necessary because I wont be kicking people in the head.

The NRL could have not registered him and there would be no legal avenue for Packer to pursue against the NRL. They wouldnt be stopping him earning a living elsewhere.

I've made my opinion on Packer known in another thread and wont be commenting further on this issue in this thread.

Bronco's fans could have done the same thing with this thread but chose to bite hard instead.

1 or 2 maybe. The rest are just bemused by the over-reaction to the article.

Personally - I'm guessing the OP had forgotten that Roberts won Best Centre in the Dally Ms last year and the thread has now gone too far to admit that.

Yet you read their article, and took it hook, line and sinker, when you could have brushed it off and moved on with your day.

I am just pointing out the factual inaccuracy. Not to mention the almost propaganda like drive the courier mail has for the broncos. Normally I wouldn't give a shit but after the sick father saga, I have taken a closer eye to the newspaper.

Factually - he is the Dally M Centre of the year - ie the "NRL's best centre" for 2015.

Is he the best centre at the moment? Not even close.

Not sure why you're so worked up over this. It's a factually accurate comment when put in context. Journalists love messing with context to say outrageous things. This isn't even up there with some of the crazy things journalists get away with saying through use of context.

Factually the Dally M awards are a Murdoch press award ceremony. not official ARLC/NRL awards.

In other words, just a load of shite. Roberts is not and never has been the best centre in the NRL.
