It's so good that news ltd always protect the Broncos. That's why they rush to break the stories first so that they can then cover them up later

Hardly. It was shopped to all the media outlets so there was no chance of it not breaking.

So, any ideas of why they bought it?

When you have SFA to offer, and you're a brain dead Broncs fan, cue salty tears/butt hurt/smell the fear line.

Chump can only be a direct result of inbred 4th generation cousins having unprotected sex, & it ain't pretty. Taking being a nescient oik to unseen levels , congrats Chump.

Salty much?

I can tell you what's taking so long right now: At the end of the day it's a nothing story that got blown up but the NRL can't marry that up with their paranoid fear of the media.

There'll be a decision this week & I think he'll miss at least 1 game (given his poor record)

I think you've overstated my feelings towards your club. i've even defended the players previously in the Bronocs section. If I have an opinion that isn't glowing regarding your Broncos it ruffles your jimmies every time.

I am talking about the culture of your club (even though you know this & continually try to sidetrack discussion with "results of the Police investigation" such a claim has absolutely zero to do with a culture of an organisation).

The fact the culture of your club has been mentioned over and over again yet you have already stated you have no concerns about the culture, yet here you are playing semantics trying to defend it. The need to attempt to manipulate a persons perception of your clubs culture when there is plenty of evidence contrary to your view is quite sad. You should seek some professional help.

You're obviously not used to and/or hate hearing anything negative said about something that you care for (from someone you've never met), home schooled I'm guessing. That would explain a bit.

Seriously dude ? Home schooled. Professional help. Did you strut around all day with your chest puffed out after making that post ?

You're making a lot of assumptions there. I don't give a toss what you think of my club, but I'll continue to offer up my opinion to contribute to the discussion.

BRONCOS star James Roberts has been hit with a $20,000 fine but escaped suspension over two drunken incidents at Brisbane nightspots earlier this month.

Roberts was issued with a fine for public nuisance by authorities, but not arrested, and has avoided the axe ahead of the club’s crunch clash with Melbourne on Friday night.

The high profile speedster was involved in an incident in a Fortitude Valley nightclub earlier in August before being ejected from the Normanby Hotel and making headlines a week later.

Following an investigation by the NRL Integrity Unit and in consultation with the Rugby League Players Association, Roberts will commit to a personal development program after a checkered off-field history.

Broncos chief executive Paul White said the club would stand by the 23-year-old, who has been sacked by the Rabbitohs and Penrith due to previous off-field incidents.

Surprise, surprise - no ban. Fined the exact amount as the cubicle larks. Maybe $20K is the max transaction limit of the Thoroughbred's chequebook.

Said it before, give the bloke more ball, Broncos are partly responsible for his demand for attention . . . run a Ferrari on diesel and it'll give you nothing but trouble

James is getting the help he needs. The rugby league family needs to rally around him, not drag him down like the merkins in here have been trying to do.

Prior to the club’s statement on Roberts NRL chief executive Todd Greenberg declared comparisons between his behaviour and the eight-week ban handed to Roosters half Mitchell Pearce invalid.

“We don’t benchmark one against the other. I understand why the fans do. We can only deal with the facts and we judge those facts in front of us,” Greenberg said.

How does Greenberg keep a straight face? Pearce's incident did not involve cops or violence. Its a joke.
