The guy is probably dealing with issues in relation to alcohol abuse, your only here to persecute the bloke because he plays for the broncos, not fooling anyone mate.
Do you honestly believe that Robert's "punishment" is fair given the precedent set by the Pearce and Norman cases?
All we ask for is consistency. Pearce was put through the ringer for 7 days straight, receiving more media attention than most murder cases for essentially being an imbecile on the piss. Unfortunately for him this was taped and sold to the highest bidder and created a media circus. The NRL then responded with an 8 week suspension and the biggest fine in the history of the NRL.
Corey Norman then goes on a bizarre 2 week period of objectifying women and possessing drugs amongst other things. Hi is also taped on one particular occasion but his video can't be shown on the 6PM news so it doesn't create a media storm. Robert's lands himself a conviction which is worse than Pearce but at least the NRL have the balls to suspend him 8 weeks too.
Along comes good old James Roberts who has a history at numerous different clubs and proceeds to involve himself in 2 drunken incidences in a week. His punishment for this is a $20k slap on the wrist. That's not to mention the convenient fact that the media just haven't been able to get their hands on the CCTV at either venue...
