What a load of garbage, you were in another thread whinging that you had more quality players off the field, trying to justify the result, when we had exactly the same amount of "rep" players out, and more unavailable for other reasons.

I was saying that you lot shouldn't get too excited seeing as, although we had a similar amount of players missing, ours were arguably of more importance to us as a team (and had higher rep honours than your lot for that matter). There was no where I was trying to justify the result, we were soundly beaten by a better team.

Higher rep honours? You're arguing the semantics of whether Australia or SoO are better rep honours? Puh-lease, that is a piss-weak argument.

8. Weyman
10. Poore
11. Costigan
12. Creagh
13. Smith

14. Paea
15. Prior

That was our entire starting forward pack missing (all reps), and then some, and your team could still only run out 1100m, where we made well into the 1600m mark. You're not exactly presenting your case particularly well.

I hope Ballin did hit Soward in the chops and then got bitten. The fact that he and Soward left it on the field makes me hopeful that the players have not gotten as soft as I thought. Back in the day they hit, bit, ball grabbed and eye gouged then had a beer together after games. Good times

yep totally agree.....but jeez, it is fun lighting the fuse and waiting

as a kid, i remember seeing terry randall and john donnelly belting the tripe out of each other in the middle of brooky oval and then having a beer at the back of the change rooms after the match

Rubbish. You were sprouting excuses about how your missing players were better than our missing players. Ad nauseum.

Ballin manned the f**k up i.e. didn't mention it, why don't you?

Or perhaps lead the crusade of grubs in the league and call for the head of your own poster boy Steve Matai.

Why call someone a twig? Got nothing better?

LOL I bet your tune was not the same when brad Morrin bit Tahu.
LOL Dragon hypocrites

Yes, because we have the same team, the same coach, the same opponents...

Manly supporters; they hate they idea that mummy and daddy can't buy them everything.
Just saying.. you guys will go a lot better in the long run if you drop one or two games before the finals, ie. go under the radar.

The Bulldogs will love going into finals as underdogs, whereas in the past the Dragons (along with numerous other teams) haven't exactly handled favoritism well.

Even if we lose 2 or 3 of our remaining games, we'll go in with favouritism, it's just the way it is with our club, get a sniff of a premiership and the media are all over it. It can't be avoided really.

Bennett is great at preparing teams, and we don't play complacent footy. We grind out wins, then put on the afterburners once victory is assured. That gameplan won't change, and it's a style of footy that wins premierships. In the past we were all about flair, now we're all about defence. Thats not to say we'll win it, but I think the style of footy we play is much more stable once teams go up that extra notch in the finals.

It's still too far out to be predicting winners, or who will be there at the end at moment. Storm, Manly, Dogs, Us and Titans are the only ones I can really see competing for the title at present, but I think the Titans will drop off.

Momentum can change very quickly over 5 or 6 weeks.

Still haven't seen any confirmation of these allegations... Talk about clutching at straws.

@the douchebag who started this thread: where is the evidence that this even happened? A little too keen to have a go at Jamie after he tore your useless mob a new arsehole?

It was covered by Channel 9 news.

Soward apologised many times on the field to Ballin. Claimed he had trouble breathing (Ballin's arm was smothering his mouth) and biting Ballin was necessary to get his arm off his mouth.

Ballin accepted the apology and no further action has been taken by the NRL, so I can't see why it's an issue here.

I can confirm that Matt Balin put his arm in Jamie's mouth whilst he was in the process of closing his mouth.

If anyone should be charged it should be Balin for making unnecessary contact with the head.
