Cops don’t convict anyone, dipshit.
Have you any f**king clue how the legal system works? You reckon a cop just happened to walk by and saw any of the people you named in a potentially illegal act?
pigs charge and pigs fail lol

I know it’s not the time, but if found innocent does he have claim for financial loss from accused or anyone else?

No. Not unless the accusation was shown to be a malicious prosecution. Being found not guilty is not a finding that the person making the allegations is lying.

The normal rules re slander and libel apply to everyone.

Very small sample size to brag about a zero conviction rate. IIRC few Dogs players were charged with sexual assault in the 2000s. Charges were dropped because of lack of evidence. Brett Stewart was charged with indecent assault (I think the allegation was digital penetration) and was found not guilty. Scott Bolton has a trump style grab her by the pussy charge pending. Greg Bird had his charges dropped or he was found NG but his former GF essentially appeared in court in his favour over the glassing incident.

Who else has been hit with charges ? Hoppa Snr and Craig Field ? Jack Whighton ?

What is Blake Ferguson? Chopped liver?

Charged and convicted of indecent assault, then appealed, found guilty again but conviction not recorded.

Talk about highs and lows, whether self inflicted or not this is just so fascinating.

We have always known the intelligence off the field wasn’t really there but what makes someone who already has something hanging over his head, on top of having a child to someone in a similar social media, meet up situation go out and engage with another person on social media???

I’m not going to touch on whether it was consensual or not as at this moment there are 2 people who know the real truth and everything else right now is speculation and assumptions.

The only thing that we all know is that the media will milk this for all its worth so there will be no shortage of articles and the complete dregs of society are already out on social media spreading misinformation and 50th hand information stating past “facts” on events they know nothing about.

The circus has truly begun and as Parra fans because he has/is associated with us will cop shit left, right and centre......yay us!

Totally agree. His footy is finished and that’s not that I think that he’s guilty or not. Reason why I say he’s finished is because at this point if his career he won’t find another club willing to put up with the sideshow. If the rape charges arent proved then he’s been duded a year or two on his career.

As for the allegations, i’ll leave it up to the court to decide the facts. None of us have access to details yet. I don’t get how people can think if he’s guilty or not just yet.

It was finished at the end of 2014..... The rest well, it was just a dream

Jarryd Hayne posts $20,000 bail to secure release over alleged sex assault
Lucy Cormack20 November 2018 — 9:39am
Jarryd Hayne must report to police three times a week, refrain from entering the Newcastle area and post $20,000 surety to meet strict bail conditions imposed by police, after he was charged with aggravated sexual assault against a 26-year-old woman.

The embattled rugby league star spent more than nine hours at Ryde local police station on Monday evening, when he handed himself into police over the alleged sexual assault that took place at a home in the Hunter region on the NRL grand final night in September.

Hayne finally emerged from the police station in the early hours of Tuesday morning, accompanied by his manager Wayne Beavis, having been charged with aggravated sexual assault by detectives from the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad.

With a grey jumper slung around his shoulders, Hayne made no comment to a waiting media pack as he was picked up by a dark silver vehicle.

Bail conditions imposed upon the former Parramatta Eels fullback include reporting to The Hills Local Area Command between 8am and 8pm every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday; surrendering his passport, not applying for another passport and not approaching any point of departure.

Hayne is also not to enter any international airport or the Newcastle local government area, while he is to live only at an unspecified address in Norwest.

The 30-year-old is not to contact or attempt to contact the victim or any witnesses by any means whatsoever including electronic means, social media platforms or through any third party.

He is also not to assault, molest, harass, threaten or otherwise interfere with the victim, stalk or engage in any other conduct that intimidates the victim or a person with whom the victim has a domestic relationship.

If he fails to comply with any of the agreed conditions, Hayne has agreed to forfeit $20,000.

It is understood the time Hayne spent at the police station on Monday night was taken up by a lengthy bail determination consideration, with independent police officers assessing his release.

The maximum penalty for the charge of aggravated assault is 20 years in jail.

Earlier this month, detectives from the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad commenced an investigation into the alleged incident, after receiving reports a woman had been sexually assaulted by a man she met on social media.

A complaint about the incident was first made to the NRL Integrity Unit, before it was referred to the sex crimes squad.

Hayne has been granted strict conditional bail to appear at Burwood Local Court on Monday December 10.

It is the second sexual asssault allegationlevelled at the rugby league player, who is currently fighting a civil lawsuit in the US relating to the alleged sexual assault of a woman in San Jose in December 2015.”

The bit where you claim the police are looking for a headline.

Do you think they deliberately charged Hayne so that they could get some media attention?

What are you basing that on?

There is a lot of pressure to get higher conviction rates for rape allegations and this translates also to higher charge rates. There is pressure on politicians (who live in fear) and this gets pushed onto the police.
How would the feminist media react if the police didnt charge? Do the police need that kind of negative press?

Getting quite real and serious now

Max 20 years jail ?

For a bloke who wanted to move closer to his daughter, you would assume to be in her life and be a good role model. That would be ripped apart if convicted and serves time. if it hasn't already.
