Well, well, well. Looks like all the crayon eaters like Nick87 will be crying into their chicken tendies this morning now that it's been demonstrated that a grave miscarriage of justice occured.

All of you who took the quashed verdict to be the undeniable and infallible truth have been exposed as the fools that you are.

I said all along that the verdict stunk and was attacked by low IQ idiots who lack even a shred of critical thinking skill.

You're jumping the gun. 2/3 trials resulted in a conviction.

This appeal orders a new trial. It's also important to note that the appeal was on three grounds, with the first not being upheld. The ground? That the verdicts were unreasonable and not supported by evidence at trial.

It's up to Prosecutions to see if they proceed with another trial. Given the potential trauma to the victim, it may not go ahead.

Considering the other 2 points related to the judge refusing to allow rather critical evidence to be submitted that contradicted the prosecution’s case rather substantially (so the jury ruled fairly on what was told to them… but what was told to them was incomplete) I reckon it’s unlikely there will be a retrial.

given the 3rd point which was upheld labeled the judge’s actions in the previous trial a miscarriage of justice surely Hayne will be seeking compensation too for 2+ years on gaol time

Judge said unlikely a another trial as his non parole term expires next year in May.
At all evidence I have seen difficult to prove beyond reasonable doubt.
