I liked the interview last night.
I feel Hayne has grown into being a very decent person from his younger, more brash days.
Good luck to him if his chosen faith gives him peace and stability and strength of character. I admire him for having the strength to see out the dark days, as he called them. It's a very brave thing he is doing.
If anyone is going to succeed at this, it's Hayne. I take my hat off to him.

Watched Hayne on the footy show last night. He isn't coming back. Again said that League didn't challenge him anymore. Spoke mostly about his faith etc. Each to their own but I ask this question. Do we need a person leading our club who is so easily led by of all organisations, the Hillsong church ? The leader of that organisation comes across as such a transparent profiteering slime yet people like Hayne support his cause. I'm a christian too but I'm certain Jesus was against the profiteering of supposed religious leaders when he walked the earth. There is a passage in the Bible when he tipped over market stalls near a Jewish temple.

Did Hillsong miss that section of the bible?

I'm certain God doesn't need money, only opportunist bottom feeders taking advantage of vulnerable people do.

I'd like to see how much League didn't challenge him any more if he doesn't make the 49ers squad next month.

Well he may find that although league doesn't challenge him, failing at the new challenge may make him settle for not being challenged.

He wouldn't be the first person to do a job that wasn't a challenge to them? Millions of people do it every day I'd imagine.

People who go to Hillsong tend to make sweeping superficial generalisations about everybody all of the time.

Life wouldn't suck getting paid $1M euros playing RU in France if he doesn't make the 49ers cut.

Agree merkin. People should back right off.

Personally I find these events powerful. Very powerful indeed.

Fair enough. Greatest player I have ever seen but he has an ego to match it. That is why League doesn't challenge him anymore because it's about him first, the team second.

The cointel psyop programs are very simple and easy to apply. Think of the "Stockholm Syndrome" and the "Placebo Effect". Collectively they create a man-made "Self-Fulfilling", self-creating, phenomena all the while believing that a 3rd party God, Jesus, higher power/being, ascended master, reptilian shape-shifter or a Kryon of the Galactic Federation are behind the phenomena of whatever miracle or experience was encountered.

I've no problem with you thinking that. You at least consider your thoughts.
I see Jarryd as a person that yes, does have an ego. He is also a person that has ambition. He, as you said, is the greatest player you've ever seen. There's a few contenders, and he's pretty damned close to it in my eyes. Andrew Johns is probably the next best IMO, and Hayne can do everything
he could, plus more, so you may very well be right.
What is wrong with him thinking League isn't a challenge anymore, and for him to go looking for greener pastures?
This is why I admire him, and not put him down.
The poor bastard just happened to turn up in an era where the Eels were a f**king basket case.
Can you imagine if he was here between '81-86? He'd already be an immortal.
He is looking to find himself a new challenge. He is brave enough to turn down a massive pay day which would have secured his family for life.

I can only wish him all the luck he deserves. I mean that sincerely, as he has given me the greatest moments of my life as an Eels fan in the current era.
Hayne is a freakish athelete.

My Casper theory on Hayne to NFL is that Hillsong are paying him the shortfall in his contract to go over there get a profile and then help them tap into the largest market of gullible muppets in the world.
There are only so many morons in Australia who will organise a direct debit of 10-15% of their income, they need new markets.

A likely scenario.

do do do do, do do do do, do do do do, do do do do,.........

Can't think of another name that could do everything Hayne can, and pull them off regularly, season after season.
