I've no problem with you thinking that. You at least consider your thoughts.
I see Jarryd as a person that yes, does have an ego. He is also a person that has ambition. He, as you said, is the greatest player you've ever seen. There's a few contenders, and he's pretty damned close to it in my eyes. Andrew Johns is probably the next best IMO, and Hayne can do everything
he could, plus more, so you may very well be right.
What is wrong with him thinking League isn't a challenge anymore, and for him to go looking for greener pastures?
This is why I admire him, and not put him down.
The poor bastard just happened to turn up in an era where the Eels were a f**king basket case.
Can you imagine if he was here between '81-86? He'd already be an immortal.
He is looking to find himself a new challenge. He is brave enough to turn down a massive pay day which would have secured his family for life.

I can only wish him all the luck he deserves. I mean that sincerely, as he has given me the greatest moments of my life as an Eels fan in the current era.
Hayne is a freakish athelete.

Completely agree.

The cointel psyop programs are very simple and easy to apply. Think of the "Stockholm Syndrome" and the "Placebo Effect". Collectively they create a man-made "Self-Fulfilling", self-creating, phenomena all the while believing that a 3rd party God, Jesus, higher power/being, ascended master, reptilian shape-shifter or a Kryon of the Galactic Federation are behind the phenomena of whatever miracle or experience was encountered.

If you look closely, there is one dude on the left that didn't move. Pretty sure he was thinking "get f**ked poindexter, I'm not f**king moving".

Fair enough. Greatest player I have ever seen but he has an ego to match it. That is why a League doesn't challenge him anymore because it's about him first, the team second.

With the mindset you are endorsing no player could ever get out of reserve grade. Never play rep footy.

Ambition and a willingness to go further should be encouraged and applauded, not scorned.

Hayne can do everything... But unlike Thurston can not take a game by the scruff of the neck. Its a funny thing. Even guys like Ingliss who are great players IMO are not worth anywhere near the money of a Thurston.Sure they have moments of brilliance but they don't run the team. IMO hayne was far superior too Inglis. But you could shut him down with a smart game plan.Guys like Thurston you never shut down. They are the spear heads. They rally the troups, organize the team and with 5 to go if your behind by two who would you want in your team? That is what you need to ask yourelf when talking about best players ever IMO.

And true Suitman. If anything Hayne was holding us back by sucking up too much of our cap. As great as he was and a joy too watch no fullback is worth that money-Only a half . We no will have a more balanced team that is capable of making the top 8.

I hope HAYNE does do well.Last thing I want is him to be playing against us. But I also fear if he was to return he would cost that much we would suffer in other areas.
It is about balance and as good as Hayne is if you can pick up a guy like Boyd for 400K or Moylan for 500k you have a excellent fullback who saves you 500-700k.Sure there not elite as Hayne, but if it means spending 150k extra on 4 other positions think of the quality you would have added in the rest of you backline......

Except for the games where he did exactly that.

Not a whole heap I can think of where he did that TBH. Plenty where he just blitzed team from the 1st minute.

If you where down by 2 and 10 to go there are other players you'd prefer then Hayne. He is brilliant but is not the guy who takes charge of the game plan. That is the only guy IMO that deserves overs if you want a succesfull squad rather than moments of brilliance.

He had plenty of ambition left in the NRL. Last time I checked it was a team sport. That elusive premiership is one that every player should strive for. However as an individual Hayne did it all and in his eyes reached the summit. That is why it didn't challenge him anymore. The point is that you play 26 rounds each year to lift the trophy, not for individual accolades and highlight reels. Thurston has done it all too and has had a greater career than Hayne. However he wants to win one for the Cowboys which I expected Hayne to keep striving for with the Eels. But hey it's all about the journey and him pushing himself. As I keep saying it's Hayne first, team second. If you can't see that I think you may be a little naive.

That's all you've got? He should have stayed with the Eels until he won a title? Sounds like Hayne understands teams and team effort better than you do.

Despite what you are claiming, it's a team game.

Or maybe a Super Bowl ring is more important to him?

You're OK with Thurston bailing out on the Dogs way back when. He could've stayed. Sherwin was a bust anyway.

Thurston didn't bail out. The Dogs elected to go with Anasta and Sherwin ahead of him. Sherwin was at the beginning of a 5 year deal. How was he a bust? You are not making sense.

Your complaint could apply to any player who transfers.

Here is a tip - non of them are traitors. It's normal and it's OK.

Didn't say he was a traitor. Just saying that he is a self centred ego maniac with amazing ability. I'd take him back but I hope he makes it so we can finally move on.

I've seen nothing but a dedicated and committed team player who other players, coaches and fans love to have around.

This has been consistent for us, NSW, Fiji, Australia and now similar feedback is also being received from the 49'ers.

I don't know where you get your idea from.
