What I meant mate, was that as far we know, it was a small group of Jewish leaders (who felt their power threatened) who turned him over to Pilate and said 'deal with him'. It wasn't 'the Jews', it was 'some Jews'. Jesus and his disciples were also members of 'the Jews', as were many thousands of people at the time who no idea of his existence, let alone had an opinion on his divinity.

Then why are the 'Serbs' blamed for the massacre at Srebrenica? It goes both ways. In Bosnia there were a bunch of paramilitaries killing Muslims and the whole country in Serbia gets sanctioned, bombed and crippled for decades. That's right the Serbs are not that powerful, the Jews on the other hand.

Well I don't blame all Serbs for that ;-)

And again....some Jews are powerful (very powerful), and some are not. The influence that the NY Jewish lobby have over US foreign policy is appalling. And I hate the fact that criticising Israel is often conflated (sorry Lingard) with anti-Semitism. But....the West (and the East) has a long history of blaming the Jews for just about everything. Why are/were so many of them money lenders? Coz they were banned from owning real property. Better move them on..... A lot of this crap persists....and in my opinion is vile and frankly dangerous stuff.

According to Reddit, this means he has made the practice squad. http://www.49ers.com/team/roster.html

At the moment they are still in the offseason, which includes training camp.

Practice squads aren't determined until early September, after the pre-season games, in time for the regular season.

But I think it's pretty safe to say that Hayne will end up on the 49ers practice squad. This means that as long as he is willing to guts it out and learn for the next year, he won't be back for 2016.

A live nfl game is about a spectacular play or the build up to the 3rd down. Every third down had the stadium going wild in my experience, though it was a reasonably close game

The road to NFL for Jarryd Hayne

With the start of the NFL season less than two months away, these are the key dates and events for Jarryd Hayne as he embarks on his mission to see game time for the San Francisco 49ers in 2015.

Teams begin their pre-season training camps over the next seven days with NFL hopefuls hoping to impress during this period.
The first-year players, including Hayne, will report to the 49ers' headquarters at Santa Clara for their training camp on July 27.

Hayne's key NFL dates:

July 27, rookies report: All rookies undergo medical checks on the first day of camp. Hayne had foot surgery in Australia last month with the results and recovery to be analysed by 49ers medicos. No field work occurs. Meetings and light work outs only.

July 31, veterans report: Older team members report for camp. They get paid US$1800 a day while Hayne and the other rookies will receive $1000. Players face $30,000 fines until they report. Still no field work.

Aug. 1, first practice: No contact is allowed until Aug. 3 so the helmets and pads are kept away until then. From this date, it will be crucial for Hayne to excel in the match simulation drills.

Aug. 15, exhibition match at Houston: Hayne's first opportunity to play against opponents. He will share the carries with other backup running backs and will get a chance to shine on special teams (kickoffs and punts).

Aug. 23, exhibition match vs. Dallas: Hayne's first home exhibition game against rivals, the Dallas Cowboys.

Aug. 29, exhibition match at Denver: By the third exhibition match, coaches have figured out an idea of their projected starters. Hayne will hopefully be in the mind of the 49ers coaches by this stage.

Sept. 1, roster cut to 75: Roster is cut from a maximum of 90 to 75. San Francisco have cut a running back at this stage the past four seasons.

Sept. 3, exhibition match vs. San Diego: The 49ers coaches will have an idea of their regular season by roster by now. This could be Hayne's last chance to impress.

Sept. 5, roster cut to 53: The final roster cut with numbers reduced to 53. Some players will be placed in injury-related lists. There is a possibility that Hayne's foot injury may allow the 49ers to retain him on an injured list as he continues to learn the game. Hayne could be on this list up to the 15th week of the regular season.

Sept. 6, practice squad forms: Practice squad players earn $6,600 a week (instead of $25,588 on the regular-season roster) and their role is to be "opposition" at practice. The squad is 10-man and players aren't allowed to play games.

Sept. 14, regular season opens: San Francisco begin their NFL season with a home game against Minnesota Vikings (Tues Sept 15 AEST).

I hope he makes it .... I was quite into the NFL as a teenager - and I actually followed the 49ers - my parents bought me a shit hot 49ers jacket when they went to the states

but i've lost interest in it ... maybe if there is a reason to watch, even if its only a fleeting glimpse, it might peak my interest again

First home Exhibition game against the cowboys? ouch...

Chances are Hayne won't be playing against any first-string players.
Normally in the first few weeks, the starters play one or two series, then sit out the rest of the game.
By the 4th preseason game there are rarely any starters playing.

Yep, the Colts lost all 4 pre season games and then made the AFCCG so yeah the pre season can be pointless results wise.

It's mostly so the coaches can work out who will be the backups. Game fitness doesn't really come into it at all.
Still good to watch if it's your team. I would never bother watching another team's preseason games though.

ESPN 49ers beat reporter has Jarryd making the final 53 man roster, he had them going with 5 running backs with Jarryd no. 5

Must be in with a chance, something that I thoght would be beyond someone taking up the sport in his first year, trials start in the next few weeks, will be core to see how he goes if he is to make the final cut

If he can be of use to them on punt/kick returns then he could end up on the 53 man roster. His next few weeks are crucial (obviously).

Wow.
The American sports reporters are usually pretty spot on with their info. Completely unlike League reporters.
