Not by a long stretch. This guy has carried Parramatta on his back for years and never had the pleasure of winning a premiership. He has been f**ked around by NSW and Australian selectors. He has had to endure childish comments about his attitude and his ego by so-called Parramatta fans. He has stuck with this club through thick and thin. He is probably the best player this club has ever had and ever will have. I have had the pleasure to see Ken Thornett, Brett Kenny, Michael Cronin, Ray price and Jarryd Hayne all play for my club. I feel honoured.
Is he the murderer?yep he is, Ray Lewis is a huge inspiration to him, great player and leader that guy was.
And what did the club get out of the negotiated release? Losing our superstar player with no realistic chance of getting him back. Also leaving us with no chance of covering for his loss in 2015. A good chance at our third wooden spoon in four years.
I'm sure we could have denied him a release and then put up with the whining that goes on when superstar players don't get what they want.
Did you read the post I was replying to????

"I don't know who they'll play in my jumper, that's a tough one. It's actually something I haven't thought about."

That there quote says it all folks... selfish to the extreme, and couldn't give a rats about the contract he's welching on, or the state he's leaving his teammates and the club in.
He ain't coming back, the "lifetime agreement" is obvious horseshit/PR spin. If NFL doesn't work out for him it would be easy for him to give french or japanese rugby a go, for his end of career paycheck. His manager, Wayne Beavis, didn't know about his decision to leave until Thursday.
Neither did Parramatta. It's understood they offered him "everything for life" and it wasn't enough.
Brad Arthur, the players and the fans have every right to be angry even if Hayne's departure means they can now sign Brett Stewart from Manly.
"I'm done," Hayne said of his time in rugby league. It was a stunning two-word admission from someone who seemingly has it all.
what part of "he was given permission to leave" that you dont get ?
Yep.Gutted.
The whole situation is farcical, and typical of Hayne's egotistical ways IMO.
Had he made the announcement the same time Sam Burgess did, it wouldn't have been an issue.
Good luck to him, and thanks for the memories - but he's f**ked our 2015 campaign after some solid work to start arresting the slide down the ladder.
And yep.The timing is starting to shit me especially seeing that he made the announcement whilst the coach he chose was out of the country.
Doesn't mean it's right though... and doesn't change any part of the rest of that statement.what part of "he was given permission to leave" that you dont get ?
