I guess ASDA could see no evidence that his performance had been enhanced in any way. So he got off.

They use him very poorly on attack. Plus is form has dropped off big time which I'm putting down to using him wrong and those supposed personal issues he has been having.

Must be something off field, + ASADA?

He's not the worst tbh, I'd keep him, ditch Mateo...

McFadden has made some strange moves, while we all like Matulino on edge, it has implications for the go forward, and for the other edge forwards

Well we all talked of Matulino needing to be at prop.
Didn't do any good in this match.

No, he kept playing like an edge forward though... not his fault, I blame McFadden - to an extent the same is true of TL, whether or not Townsend is a better 6, or Friend a better 9, they've had consistency in their role...

Roosters are a good side, no mistake, but Lillyman and Friend aside that was embarrassing, as bad if not worse as Canberra were against us - they bombed a few tries, and when Maloney is cutting you up like that, something is seriously wrong

How long did Bukuya sign for?
We may as well release him come end of season
Shame really, he started REALLY well, but just tailed off

Bakuya off contract next season

Wouldn't keep him and he can take Mateo/Lousi/Matagi with him

Throw in Rapira too if he can't get his body right

Even in coming to us, he was kind of like Peyroux. A fringe first grader. In an area that he have a fair bit of depth in, he was given the red carpet treatment.

A week or so ago one of the NRL rumour mongers (I forget which one, maybe the rlw mole?) mentioned an underperforming NRL player who is struggling after his brother got caught for drugs or something like that and is facing jail time. Could this be Bukuya? Does he even have a brother? For that matter, could it be Danger?

Yep, people seem to forget he was very much a fringe player at Cronulla, not really sure why they think he was a star of sorts - remember, Gallen, Lewis, Graham, Tupu and Heighnington all ahead of him...

That being said, I disagree that he's been a lemon... he's been exactly what I expected, perhaps better... and in terms of the list of those who have offered sweet f**k all on the field, he's well down it - IMO, for one reason or another - Peyroux, Nielsen, Fishiahi, Leuluai, Palavi, Lousi (perhaps just 1, but arguable), Mateo, Matagi, Rapira, Havili, Gubb, and even Matulino and Tomkins have underperformed relative to expectations...

This is incorrect - by the end of the season he was playing so good for the sharks he was getting a lot of starts. Matthew Johns and the footy show were waxing superlatives about him and suggested his world cup form hinted he was a great player in the making and he was delivering. He also got over the line 7 times for them. Hardly a fringe player at all. Impact player at worst.

Well, I am not taking your word for it - suffice to say if Lewis, Gallen, and Graham are all fit Bukuya is not in the starting lineup... the end

Suffice to say your wrong. They were times they were fit and he still got some starts for the sharks. Not sure if you were watching the games there bud.

In 2013, he started 12/22 matches ON THE BENCH - in the playoffs the staring back row was ALWAYS Lewis, Graham, Gallen. In the last round, he started - but was named on the bench, Graham shifted to 5/8. Game before that he started, but was named on bench - Gallen shifted to prop. Two before that he was on bench, in one Heighnington started. He had a few starts before that, when Luke Lewis was injured

I could go on, but you said "by the end of the season" - sorry fella, but the facts don't support your fairy story... no sane coach would EVER pick Bukuya to start if Lewis, Graham and Gallen are all available...

I agree he doesnt start over those guys if your a sane coach but he was getting starts and he was better than the fringe player you made him out to be with the sharks. He came with some expectations and I understand for what we paid for him we expected far greater.

HE has been a dud.
