Nathan Brown originally contracted to do a report/review on our pathways and make recommendations on improving them.

When he was finished, his contract was up. It was never a long term thing. It had f**k all to do with BA, he was engaged by MON.

That org chart diagram needs a box for the recruitment and retention commitee (including coach, HOF, Board Members and the other dude/role) to show how HOF responsibilities for/influence on our NRL matters is brought into play.
Given that there is a level of assumption made in your post, I am surprised you didn't finish it with a ?

What was assumed? Following comments that HOF mustn't have anything to do with the NRL side, it's my opinion that the chart needs to show the R&R committee and its reported membership somehow - which would then more accurately display the structure and the link between the two halves.

and the verdict.....

Fox League has revealed details of an internal review conducted by former NRL coach Nathan Brown, which include several damning findings:

— There was a perception of nepotism in the appointment of staff and players

— Better connection needed from NRL to Flegg and to Junior Reps

— Acknowledgment of all staff across all programs could be better

— Skill development of players could be better with the ‘Eels philosophy’

— Role clarity needs to be better communicated and the communication across all roles needs to be clearer.

no doubt

im just trying to get a grasp on the organisational structure. The other team i follow in the NFL, the general manager sits above the head coach. infact the general manager is in complete control of the roster not the head coach.
I’m sure it would differ from one NRL club to the next.

Roster FFS, is there another club that only has 26/27 players in their top 30 two years in a row ? Is that BA ? MON ? R&R Committee ? Doesn't matter, shit has to change. Shake them up JR.
You’re implying that the club should throw money at nuffies like Keir and Tago just to fill the top 30. The merkins at the bottom of the top 30 are no better than a dozen other merkins in NSW Cup. Think Cini or Mataele. Whether they are the 30th or 31st highest paid player is an administrative decision based on contracts signed over a year ago. But this is the calibre of player we’d be bringing in if we were forced to fill the top 30 ‘just because’. Not being in the top 30 hasn’t stopped Sanders, Arthur, Tago, Mulitalo, Keir or Moretti from getting a run. It’s a nothing burger.

head of football..... its in the title
At our club it’s called GM Football. That’s also what it’s called at the Storm. Do you think Bellamy answers to Ponissi? They are the equivalent of parallel execs at other companies. They are expected to work together and answer to their mutual boss the CEO. But like any coworkers, they don’t necessarily have the same level of influence in the organisation.
