Which comments?
It was SEN interview posted in rumours thread maybe. Basically got into who will replace Brown/what we doing with all dat paper, his response was short/medium/long term targets and more or less we’re looking at who will play there next year but also 2027 (he said that year specifically) and beyond.
Part of it is obviously because there’s f**k all readily available for 2026, whereas there is a better group available in 2027. He didn’t say Galvin but it’d be dumb to assume we hadn’t asked the question and aren’t currently asking the question.

We have a f**kload to spend for 2027 and we could know about them all before Christmas this year. So even though they won't be at the club in '26, they will still be 'on their way'. Just like how all the merkins who were on their way out dampened our 2022 season.
Some time in the future we'll be signing up fertilised emybryos.

Our club has problems that go beyond the coach. I feel sorry for Ryles. I think he’ll end up on the coaching scrap heap.
Ryles has been here 5 mins and hasn't coached a game yet with his best player.

Were paying the price for recruitment decisions from the previous regime where some players are still on big money and are no longer playing up to that level when they signed.

I feel like I am a Looney Tunes, but I have faith in Ryles - our roster is just...bad. like, really, really bad.

But he was able to bring Iongi over, and Iongi is a gem.

I trust that he knows what he's doing, but he will need time.

Yep. Ryles has inherited a basket case. Hopefully he can buck the trend of the last 10 Eels coaches and deliver the chocolates, but I’m not confident.

Too early to be confident with any confidence, but understanding the problem is definitely the first step in implementing lasting change.

The only reason there isn’t the move towards what happened at Sharks and Dogs, is the slash and burn of Gould and the decent roster at the Sharks when their rookie coaches were appointed.

We seem to have some attractions and cap space, do we have the operators to get it under way. Guess that’s where the lack of confidence comes from , looks at Jim etc 🙄
