Well they shouldn't break the law

Yeah but do they deserve to have their names dragged through the press because of it? Apparently 100s of Joe Publics haven't. I had a speeding fine a couple of months ago, should I lose some massive contracts over it? Yeah drugs are bad but if you are just using I don't see why your life should be destroyed because of it.

You have no issue with the NRL players funding crime and/or possibly exposing themselves to extortion or blackmail?

How is a speeding fine anywhere near the scale of this by the way

Hey I agree but when everyone cheered your club going through a couple of seasons of horseshit I really dont care.

Technically these guys are drug cheats.

Karma is a bitch sometimes.

Honestly I see possession of drugs at the same level as speeding. You could kill someone doing it but it isn't likely. Anyway it is a risk that they will expose themselves to blackmail but that isn't a reason to punish them for it. And the punishment I'm talking about is losing Vitamin company contracts worth $100,000s of moneys. Guilty or not if you're a so so former fullback/touted 5/8 you're going to lose that at least.

What did Manly do to you again? Technically they haven't been found guilty of anything but I'm sure if they are found guilty of using coke then fine they should cop a ban but it's hardly performance enhancing unless you're climbing in the Andes.

Yes Bikies don't kill people, drug dealers are such respectable people also. If you think the Class A drug trade is a victimless crime, than you are niave.

Good to see your priorities are about protecting Suisse vitamins ability to sponsor someone though.

Peter Badel trying to be Rothfield with a hatchet job complaining about the NRL using Robbie Williams in their commercial despite his history of cocaine use, like the NRL were suppose to foresee the scandal with their magic 8-ball!

Now if only there was an entertainer who has never used drugs that they could use instead.... The wiggles? Maybe?

I personally know of many footy players who take cocaine. It's a problem in today's society. People these days cannot enjoy a night out without getting on the drugs and that's a real issue.

I also love how the News Corp scum are focusing on the problems with the Gold Coast players but virtually ignoring the fact that Hunt was playing for the Suns when the drug issue occurred.

Where's the call from News Corp journalists calling for the AFL to relocate the Suns.

The Suns connection has been completely ignored and it reminds me of when the ASADA saga started and the AFL and labor were briefing Victorian media on how it was really a NRL issue and the AFL were only at the press conference because they had to be.

reading some comments on the telegraph website is truly depressing, apparently Smith should be sacked because players take party drugs... it's truly sad the influence people with the mental capacity of rothfield and wilson has on the public.

NEW LTD will do anything to talk the game down. A world renowned artist who has conquered his demons is as much of a bad move as the NRL allowing people like Rebecca Wilson (DUI offender) report on the game and attack players for their misdemeanours.
