Looks a lot like the charges levelled at Matty stokes from Geelong in 2010. geelong gave him an 8 week suspension. The dealing charges were dropped ( he gave some to a friend). And the magistrate slapped him on the wrist.

If this is what that is, ie not realling selling the coke, just passing it around. Then the above seems about right. If they were selling it. Stupid merkins and bye bye.

Taking some coke is a personal problem not a matter for the legal system.

if the NRL only gave a player only 8 weeks the media would have a fit

Is it the blackest day in sport yet?

Blackest day in sport?
Sounds like a typical Saturday night for just about every other wealthy
young person in the country.

I know it is illegal but it is hardly the "cocaine ring" the media a crapping on about.
A group of dudes scoring for a couple parties is what it sounds like to me.

Obviously that is the case
But I'm just saying blokes getting some coke for a boys weekend is not exactly the Bali 9.

Andrew Webster in the SMH says all that needs to be said, it's rumoured half the hobnobs in the area I live don't like coke in a bottle . . . too much sugar for their fine figures

And nobody is suggesting it is

However alledgedly the "boys" breached numerous guidelines in regards to player behavior and several laws. If proven they will be facing penalties

Is this ownership thing for a predetermined limited amount of time or is it permanent? Will they be able to sell the license again?
