Smith was my favourite player growing up... And just thinking back now... Probably the last of the genuine ball playing / play making lock forwards in the game.

These days lock forwards are more tackling machines who run tough lines.

Most weekend rock stars will usually do 1 gram a night, some up to 2. Frankly anything more than that is unaffordable in Australia, where is $300 a gram (and upwards). 1 gram is about the size of a "Extra" chewing gum pellet.

(Obviously hardcore druggies will do a lot more)

The law is going to be an issue to deal with, but also he and his accomplices are no doubt going to have some major issues with bikies/dealers also and be in serious debt to these guys.

Basically, in my view, they are not in a good place.

Its a huge amount from a legal POV. The law in NSW (not sure about qld) would treat that as a commercial quantity which is bad news.

If he got caught with 10 grams the police would charge him as a dealer and not just personal use 280 is heaps to get caught with, its worth about $250-350 a gram in sydney, so its around $80k in street value.
