Just reading that quote, he doesn't seem 100% sure. But happy to give benefit of the doubt.
Let's look at the Souths CEO (Blake Solly) quote...
"It's been more difficult to attract new sponsors," he said. "It's slightly easier to retain existing sponsors because they see all the positives about the sport because they're already in it; they can see 95 per cent of the players in the game are fantastic and great role models.
Quite frankly I think we need more of this, it's a more positive approach to highlight these "fantastic and great role models". In any case, even Solly says that existing sponsors are standing behind the Clubs and the game.
My argument has been at directed at those posters who claim that 'sponsors are walking away'. There has been no evidence of this. At the very least, it is an overstatement.
He seems to have approached it in a fairly simple way...In terms of the quantum, I don’t know about the easts ceo but the titans chairman pointed to NRLs drop in the Net Promoter Score:
