Jennings is overrated just like Andrew Johns
Oh look at that, Goulds arrogance is pushing more star players away. Looks like you can't be a player at his club unless you lick his arse.
No, just the same as the Bulldogs.

he's a lazy player, unless he wants to get involved he's a waste if he cost $1 on your salary cap. hanging around with frank pritchard too long
a move might help him get his shit together at least for a little while
are the roosters still using the same salary cap as everyone else?
You do realize he almost signed for Souths last week, how much money do you think they have under the cap? The problem with explaining to people here is that most are either plan geniused or too biased to cope with logic so it is hardly worth explaining it.
Roosters move to snap up Jennings..
Date January 7, 2013
SYDNEY ROOSTERS will meet Penrith centre Michael Jennings on Monday in a bid to finalise a deal for the 24-year-old to join the club before the start of the season.
While the Herald understands the Roosters won't match the $600,000-a-season price tag Jennings would pick up at Penrith over the next three years, it is believed they are considering offering him a four-year deal worth up to $2 million.
While the Roosters move is all but a done deal, the Herald understands South Sydney have also been interested in the NSW Origin centre and have been talking to his management team since before Christmas.
Penrith general manager Phil Gould said the Panthers would not stand in Jennings's way if he wanted to leave his junior club, but would not fork out huge money to make up for any difference between the two contracts.
''I received an email from Michael's management last week requesting a sizeable payout of his Panther contract to make up the shortfall he would experience if he left Penrith to play for one of these other clubs,'' Gould said.
''Naturally, I informed his manager Panthers would not be contributing anything like that amount for him to play with another club. I told them his new club would have to pay if they wanted his services. Michael is in our salary cap for season 2013 and we are under no pressure to move any player at this time.''
While he didn't name the clubs, Gould admitted he was approached by two Sydney clubs before Christmas, inquiring about Jennings's contract situation.
''I was asked if I would release Michael if they could strike a deal,'' Gould said. ''I told them I would not stand in Michael's way provided Michael was happy with the deal and wanted to leave.
''Please read my lips. We have never shopped Michael to other clubs and we did not instigate these latest approaches.''
While the Roosters are confident of attracting Jennings to Bondi, Gould said he had been told that the Australian international would see out the final three years of his contract at Penrith.
Roosters boss Brian Canavan said he would sit down with recruitment manager Peter O'Sullivan and coach Trent Robinson to weigh up the options.
''We are interested in Michael but we have to see what happens between his management and Penrith,'' Canavan said. ''We haven't spoken about money.''
Who would those half a dozen stars be? SBW's contract only started last week ffs, so you cant include him. Then you go to Pearce - who aint a star - unless you are Sam Thaiday. Not if you have half a dozen stars with % increases in their contract that is linked to cap raises. Plus the 4 or 5 1st grade players they signed from other clubs for this season.
Finally the Roosters have someone quick enough to get to Pearce's kicks before they roll over the in goal.
Can someone go through the roosters current squad and explain why they could possibly think we'd be over the cap by adding jennings?
We have literally 1 SOO player in the entire team, and that is Mitchell Pearce FFS. We have also released BJ Leilua and Mosoe this season, along with a f**king $800k increase on the cap compared to what everyone had planned for.
Throw in the fact that the panthers will still be paying a sizeable portion of Jennings salary, wherever he goes (no one is going to pay him $600K), then honestly what is the bloody problem?
:lol::lol: How would you know what is in the contratcts of the Roosters players? You butt hurt he may come to the Roosters? Not if you have half a dozen stars with % increases in their contract that is linked to cap raises. Plus the 4 or 5 1st grade players they signed from other clubs for this season.
