How come the GC Giants had 2 logos?

They only had 1. The logo with the Giant smashing through the shield was their supporter logo that all the other clubs had.

Interesting in that Ch7 video they were originally sponsored by Oz Rock when the team was launched but ended up being sponsored by Seagulls Leagues Club by the time the season started. Anyone have any info on that?

I was 15 at the time, but I recall the Seagulls in white, black and red then becoming the Gladiators and then the Chargers all in the one off-season.

No internet / social media back then, so me here in Perth just saw things happening one week at a time in the RLW magazine ... which, in the off-season, was a once-a-month kinda thing.

Pretty sure you are right.

The collar design is wrong, the colour of the collar and embroidery is wrong, the Asics logo is wrong and the Qantas logo is wrong.
The colour in real life is not as bad as my photo. Yes the Qantas logo is the old one but it's pretty damn close otherwise.

I'm still in two minds about the $20 fakes.

One hand I think yeah f*ck the system, the NRL and clubs, I can get an OK quality jersey for 20 bucks and I can show the world who I support while saving $140 in the process.

Other hand I think that we as consumers shouldn't be supporting the bootlegging industry where none of the money goes to the clubs or the NRL that develop and help the code survive. Not to mention some of the money going to the players that we support.

I have bought one from DH Gate to see what they're like but ended up giving it away to a mate from the UK as I thought it looked like sh*t.

you know with retail if the jersey is sitting in front of you (in rebel, amart etc) the clubs/nrl have already made their money yeah?
its only rebel that are profiting now. yeah obviously if nobody goes to rebel then they choke on their own supply and stop buying off the club, but its like music- a song might be number 1, there is 35000 units 'sold' but they're still on the shelf, the artist has made his money
however its minute, and he would rather you pay him $10 for a cd than buy it from JB for 20 and he makes 5... obviously going thru fake_jerseys is not benefiting anyone but like i said, they clubs have already been paid, and this may also be good any how, maybe shops will put their prices down if they know these competition.
f**k paying 170 for a t shirt....

edit- you blokes suck , i just bought a cowboys women in league, sat it next to the rebel version, and cannot fault a thing, has embroidered logos too so is exact a shop version,
also got a tigers anzac, spot on also. the only jersey ive bought with sublimated was a roosters

The accuracy of these jerseys is very much dependent on the logos they can get their hands on. Sometimes they just don't try hard enough. They're still getting the ISC logo wrong so no, they're not spot on. Alarmingly close but still counterfeit.

There's always going to be counterfeiting, no point in trying to stop it. It's the same of those shops that set up in malls selling framed signed photos.

The problem I have is that the better these jerseys get, the more likely they'll blend into everyday retail. The people that are willing to pay top dollar for a jersey shouldn't be subjected to these jerseys.

If you want to pay $20 for a rip off, so be it, I'm not going to judge you. But if you're willing to pay the $160rrp, you should be able to with zero risk of getting a fake.

Is there a limit on bulk orders?

The problem I have is that the better these jerseys get, the more likely they'll blend into everyday retail.

Prior to Christmas a pop-up shop opened in my local shopping centre selling an array of counterfeit sports merchandise - primarily NBA jerseys and other assorted American sports gear. Everything being sold there was hilariously bad in regards to both appearance and quality and it just as easily could have been NRL gear. If they can get away with that they could just as easily get away with selling the NRL fakes.

I went in one day to have a closer look and when the guy running the place approached me I asked if he had anything that wasn't fake. He actually tried to convince me that it was all legit. I mean come on now.

Should be both sleeves. Maybe stripes on the chest?
I think it looks fine on the one sleeve. France RU is supposed to be blue jersey, white shorts, red socks which already mimics the tricolour. The single sleeve is a bespoke element while having both sleeves and/or chest stripes would make it a dominant element and would take away from the general simplicity that LCS was aiming for. Plus the single sleeve makes it look like a flag draped over the shoulder which is pretty cool.

The only thing I'd change is making the front part of the placket blue so it blends in better, keep the rear part white though. And hopefully they pick a nice and simple number font.

If I may ask, does anyone know about the 'Classic Sportswear' hockey jerseys they had in a showcase like 6-8 months ago? Do they exist yet?
