The Game Jerseys, Logos, Mock Ups, Photos ANYTHING

Nope, there were about 20-25 made.

Anyway they played in the 7s, won some silverware (and are the only GC team to do so) and then a little while after that the ARL revoked Mullers license because of all the scandals and all the BS going on at the club and took control of the club themselves cause they'd run out of time before the 96 season, at which point they took the bare bones of the Gladiators set up but re-branded the club as the Chargers cause the Gladiators brand had been completely destroyed by the goings on under Muller, but they kept the Gladiators jersey design (with new colours of course) but probably only because they'd run out of time to design new ones.

I remember hearing a rumour sometime afterwards in the late nighties that there were storage containers of Gladiators kit at Peerless intended for the season in 96 that were sitting around at Peerless somewhere for a few years, but the ARL told them to destroy it. I wouldn't be surprised at all if there was a kernel of truth in that rumour either.

Great Post Mate - And so that explains "the trifle" Jersey they rolled out, pattern etc. The Gladiators one is light-years better in my opinion.. Holy Grail of Jerseys indeed.

Things are starting to get messy now.

Here we have a picture of a cleary updated logo with a bit more detail. Also note the colours

And there is also footage of Muller wearing a different colour jersey (@2:10)

Now the question is, is this a Charger's jersey retro fitted to look like a Gladiator's jersey, or, where the Gladiators the original champions of the #jadepride ?

It's not a Charger's jersey because it has no yellow. It also doesn't have the thick lines that the original chargers jersey had.

The manufacturer and sponsorship is in line with the Gladiators Jersey.

Only outcome I see is that the Gladiators debut season was going to have them run out in a jade and purple jersey, which was eventually changed to become the Charger's inaugural jersey.

Interview with Jeff Muller - suggests indeed his wife picked the jersey colours..

How I read it though is that she picked the gladiators colours, although the wording and order of the story suggested it could be the Chargers "Trifle" after Muller was removed... Not sure..

Or Maybe I've been researching this too long and it's frying my brain.

I just want answers!

Yeah i'm with you on that theory. The story link I posted above would suggest this a possibility too.

Find these guys - and you find your Gladiators Jerseys (Mk2 - according to above theory...).

Just to clarify, I've only seen a gladiators jersey in the flesh once (one of their ex-players or somebody associated with the club in some way was at a kids footy carnival and he was wearing it) I don't believe that there was a mark 1 and mark 2 versions of the jersey and logo, it's just in the few images of the stuff that has survived from the 90s the colours were faded out, photography and printing methods have progressed a lot even in the time since the nineties.

Not a bad idea actually...

If anybody would know more about the Gladiators or if any of their stuff is still around in somebodies garage or in a storage locker somewhere it's him.

If you do mange to find him or get in contact with him do tell.

Did Gladiators even use axes?

None of the Roman Gladiators fighting styles used axes, however I'd be willing to bet that axes were used at least by some Gladiators, probably by non-Roman slave gladiators who were 'playing their part' in the show, and they definitely would have seen use in some of the smaller arenas around the Mediterranean.
