In typical Classic Sports fashion they've screwed it up again. The sponsors are in a different font in the remake than the original.

at first glance all the badging looks right but theres some issues with it.
Number font looks off, sleeve numbering font and size. and heres the kicker.

i believe Classic changed their neck tags around 1991 to the vertical style in the last photo.

so the only thing i can think of is that the Jets jersey is a 90s early retro release?

I'm a collector of Newtown jerseys and this has me baffled. The badges all look legit, Jets, NSWRFL and Classic but as you point out the tag looks odd and more inline with a early 90s remake BUT... in the 20 years of collecting/obsessing over Jets jerseys I've never seen a remake of the 83 jersey.

Also, the font on the sponsor also seems odd and at odds with the original.

Also thought that if it's legit then it might be a junior reps jersey from the era and that would account for the different numbering style.

My guess that it's a one off remake and not a genuine 83 players jersey. A very nice jersey but not worth 400 clams.

Great looking jersey, but it looks nothing like any of the previou Fiji jumpers....

Id ask if they were looking at making a perminant brand switch, but this is RL. They will be playing in yellow next year.
