The super league jerseys really sucked if you ask me. Pretty boring that every team had the same design and players chose their own numbers.

Yep, and now imagine that every team uses the one design instead of ten teams using six. And let's add the same unrelated colours to the shoulders of each team because it's a world cup.

That's the point I'm making about templating in 80s/90s cricket - it's bland and nostalgia is most likely skewing the perception of the quality of design.

I agree. But the initial designs were pretty ordinary as well.

It's a design that will be worn for a cumulative hour, in a pisstake of a tournament. They're a match made in heaven, and hopefully the nines become the outlet for designs like these, to keep them out of the regular season.

Fair point, keep your James Bond, COD, Star Wars and Jaws jerseys in the nines. All done with in a day ot two and never seen again.

For the first time, the league has partnered with BKT Tires to introduce a Golden Cap to be worn by both the leading run-scorer and wicket-taker in the tournament. Caps will be worn by both in the field and swapped either post-match or at the innings break if there is a change in the leaderboard.

Fans will be kept updated on the status of the cap by broadcasters Channel 7 and Fox Cricket, while a running tally will be kept for both the ‘Golden Arm’ and ‘Golden Bat’ at cricket.com.au/big-bash.

Every team also seem to have a black (neon nights) kit. Scorchers wore theirs tonight against the sixers.
