Just reading the crushers thread (fabulous jerseys) and there's highlights from 95, wests played at home and had a white jersey...

I don't even think 'clash/away' jerseys were around then and there was no need anyway, (apart from maybe Illawarra v norths), did wests use a white jersey all year? Or someone pleas explain...

That's when a few 'away' jersey's started popping up in the 90s but only very rarely worn.

Wests had a white away jersey, Canberra had a white away jersey, Penrith white away jersey. North had two versions of CITIBANK sponsored jersey, the black or the red one. There were a few others too.

Its not the kind of thing I would pursue. Its also similar to designs they've had out in the past so the precedent for using the design is certainly there. Its good to see the Warriors in something similar to what I made prior although they did butcher it with piping.

Naturally I'd be pissed if they took an original logo of mine without consent (Dragons/Tigers/Cowboys/Roosters/Sea-Eagles/Sharks are a bit murky as I used existing elements).

Ahh yes the 1994 "Emus" jumper.

I think the design itself was brought back for the Junior Kangaroos in 2007, except the colours were reversed.

GAZF, that's an amazing design. Not only does it look good, but it represents the area too. Nicely done.

The design prima facie remains GAZF's, barring the copyright that subsists in any logo elements that he may have incorporated. As to the trade mark infringement, there is no issue here as he is not using his designs in the course of trade or commerce. Trade marks would become a live issue if he were to submit a design incorporating a logo elements as the money exchanged in the creation of the jersey is arguably in the course of trade or commerce. If a modified logo were used GAZF could be liable for passing off or misleading and deceptive conduct were he to onsell it.

That's brilliant Gaz, top work.

I like jerseys and logos that represent an area such as this. This should be a priorty for new clubs. The gold coast team becoming the Titans for instance, holds no meaning in that area.

Nope, not sure who did it but it was made not long before the contest.
