Agree on many logos not being suitable for that reason. Broncos, Storm and Warriors are also simple enough for a recolour in my opinion. The Dolphins could also pull if off, and would greatly benefit from not having a white logo on a white jersey.

Your argument is basically that it shouldn't happen because you don't like it, which isn't a very convincing argument in of it's self, but when you tart it up by saying it's because it's bad for the clubs 'identity', which can mean what ever you want it to in this context, suddenly the argument becomes more palatable on face value.

Yes!! That's the right balance.

The cool thing of that design is that putting the red, black & yellow any way around would still look good - so away/alternates are a cinch.
