This was on another thread:
Heard from a very reliable source that the 2014 penrith panthers heritage jersey for this year will be a replica of the 2003 black jersey worn in the grand final and not the brown and white originally teased. Let's hope it's true.

If true it might look something like this:

Whether or not that actually gets used this year, it is an amazing design.

I find the biggest problem with the Panthers current set of jerseys is the inconsistencies with their colours; aside from the black and white they also have Pink, Gold and Teal (problem is each of these colours only show up on 1 of their jerseys).

If they were to take select 3 colours and put them on every one of their jerseys (in the stripe formation above) theyd be onto a classic design.

Wouldn't mind seeing the part of the jersey above the three stripes be block black (no grey stripes). Then below the three stripes there can be the subtle grey stripes - this would give a reference to that great 1991 design.

But all in all that is a great design. It even makes the Oak logo fit in.

There you go... (except hopefully they wont use paint)

If Panthers want to stay with the 3 colours thing they should go back to the licorish-allsorts design and use them across all their jerseys. They could still have a black jersey a pink jersey and a white jersey, just with these stripes for a consistent and unique image.

Dead set, with those colour it is a bloody licorice allsort!

Here's a controversial one that will never happen. Northen Eagles jersey used for heritage round. By chance, Kaspersky logo happens to be black and red which works well with the Bears contribution to the jersey.

Really wish the Roosters would do this for ANZAC day.

They've just released the 2014 one and it's an improvement on the camo (as there is no camo) but it's a little boring.

I can't seem to post the pic but it's the home jersey with the silhouette of a soldier printed on the front left below the sponsor and the ANZAC logo on a sleeve.

This 1997 NSW jersey was voted 12th in the top 15 worst moments in sports fashion.

I would still prefer to see this jersey instead of the disgraceful NSW jerseys of the last 5 years.
Would look something like this:

Back in the early '00s Rugby League Week described that jersey as "something the Brumbies would be proud to lose in". That phrase always stuck in my mind.

In that same article on bad jerseys, the number one was the T-shirt monstrosity of the Broncs with maroon front, blue back and yellow stripes down the side. A true shocker.

...and I own one.

Do you mean the '02 away 'spider-web' jersey?
