Mate I feel totally the opposite. I reckon the Storm Jersey is one of the best in the league, the only criticism I would have is the layout of the sponsor - Medibank. Other than that its two thumbs up from me.
That's my point. ;-) They made a good jersey and then took the highest paying sponsor and slapped it on without even trying to incorporate it into the jersey.

I wish more clubs would follow the Panthers. Their sponsor is just a name and it matches the colours of the jersey. They also don't have any excessive symbols/shapes. The Roosters is another good one but they have obscured the bottom of the chevron.

i reckon the parramatta uniform needs to get away from purple and back to a royal blue. Like the Pirtek signage though. Prefer the mainly yellow strip as opposed the mostly blue one.

Not all sponsors are willing to have their logo re-designed to go on a jersey

Canberra have had a real problem succeasfully incorporating their sponsors into their jerseys. The last one that looked decent was Ozemail (which coincidently was on the best ever Raiders Jersey IMO) . The CFMEU logo looks horrible on the jersey, but you can't just simply rebrand your majors sponsor's logo to suit.

Your kidding, the Ozemail/Puma jersey was horrible! Nothing beats the Canberra Milk Jersey in the old days. But of the recent ones, the last two designs, with Fone Zone have been the best since the SL days..

The ozemail one, if its the dark green olive green one was pretty awful.

Sponsors want their name noticed on the jersey no matter how 'bad' it looks, the jersey is the main focal point, sometimes the worse, the better- for the sponsor

Fone Zone didn't exactly blend in as a sponsor either. It'd be awesome if Canberra Milk decided to step back on board as major sponsor.

How a sponsor will look on a jersey isn't exactly the most important thing on a club's mind though when they are looking for a major sponsor, is it? Not all clubs are able to shop around for whichever sponsor they feel will blend in best with their jersey design. Ozemail parted company with the Raiders after they didn't feel they were getting enough exposure in the media for their dollar, and we even started the 2004 season with no sponsor at all for the first 7 rounds. Newcastle went the majority of the 2005 season with no sponsor as well - I guarantee you they weren't sitting back saying "yeah, we've been offered the right money from XXXXXXXXX, but I don't think it goes with our jersey, let's wait til another company shows interest"

IMO the Broncos designs is extremely simple this time around.. not that it will be acknowledged around these parts.

It's their logo... :sarcasm:

Exactly.

Lockyer4President, could you imagine say Nike sponsoring a team, but not having the swoosh incorporated in the design?

I don't know how lockyer4p can say such a thing, the Ergon logo across the Broncos jersey looks woefully out of place now

I noticed from photos of the Panthers v Knights trial that the Panthers have a new sponsor below the number at the rear - Eneloop.

Well, they are a subsidiary of Sanyo, anyway, specialising in recycable batteries.

The quality's shocking, but Bulldogs, Broncos and Souths aside, here's the full array of jerseys for 2007, courtesy of the lovely buggers at Rebel:

My thoughts:
St. George — Good, but lose the bottom of the V like the Integral Energy jersey. Looks a bit out of place.
Canberra — Okay, but what's with that collar? And the CFMEU logo is pretty poor.
Roosters — Fine.
Sharks — Great. Everyone's a big fan of that jersey, and is so much better than the last blue/black one. Problem is the grey away jersey no longer suits. And I actually like that white and grey jersey, although not many others do.
Gold Coast — Disaster. Mish-mash of logos and that jersey that supposedly everyone selected looks rather bland.
Manly — Okay. Reckon the sleeves should be maroon as well.
Melbourne — Enough has been said about the Medibank logo, and I agree.
Newcastle — No complaints.
New Zealand — Good, like the way the Vodafone logo is incorporated into the design.
Cowboys — Good, but I think the away jersey is too similar to the home one.
Parramatta — Not bad, but lose the stripes off the shoulders. What's with that?
Penrith — Okay, but outdated.
Brisbane — New one is okay, but the Ergon log is still too prominent.

Ohhh FFS miccle, would you like some spakfilla for the massive chip on your shoulder?

Why is it so so important to have the simplicity or appeal of the broncs jersey applauded/loved by others ?

So so so needy.

Ok everyone just post how the broncs jersey is the simplest, best jumper ever

Back on topic

Saints, i would prefer just the StGeorge bank dragons head on the front, apart from that ok.
Canberra - the size and colour of the logo needs work, otherwise ok
Roosters Always liked the roosters jumper.
Sharks, this is the best jumper for them IMO
GC IMO to modern, needs more horizontal or vertical aspects to design, there seems to be no discernable difference, except colour.
Manly like manly's jumper
Melb, OMG they got it wrong from day 1 and have managed to keep basically the same crap a, tie for worst jumper with tiges
Newc, not a huge fan, more horizontal stripes and a bit bigger
NZ Like the design, colours make it work
Cowb as per warriors comments
Parra, I think the old type 70's jumper worn against saints last year is the best parra one
Penr - like the predominately black jumper, however dont like the red white and green things under the armpits.
Bris dont mind the broncs, prefer a bit more yellow
Souths great jumper
Doggies another good one
Tigers OMG, has someone eaten orange and black crayons after a night on the turps and had a vomit over a white tshirt ?

I didn't include the Souths and Bulldogs ones, as they obviously aren't out yet.
And I think the less that is said about the Wests Tigers jersey, the better.
