lol f**k me

“We spend a lot of time and effort when the players are under our control that they are supervised as much as possible.

“I know it’s not possible to do 24 hours a day, seven days a week but that’s one of the issues I’ll be raising with the NRL.”

Suck my dick annesley, biggest cop out ever. These are grown men, well paid adults.
You shouldn't have to monitor them a minute let alone 24 hrs a day.

Bullshit like this pisses me off with the NRL, Greenberg should come out and tell the Titans to grow the f**k up.

How about docking Proctor and Bromwich more $$$ than they are already forfeiting, If you want to act like a 16 yr old who needs parental supervision, then every f**k up will amount to $100K forfeited to charity.

What was Norman's first?

For Norman it was officially for:

* His conviction for drug possession at The Star casino
* A police warning for consorting with known criminals at the casino
* Filming incidents involving apparent drug use and sexual activity
* Distributing video of those incidents to other NRL players

titans quick disciplinary actions.
Sitting on their hands. They have to give Proctor 5 days right of reply as per his contract.

That's fine for the individuals except the clubs brand gets damaged so they prefer to err on the side of safety...

As the nzrl are loaning club players they should be expected to show the clubs the same courtesy
Then the clubs should come down as hard as they can to punish them, if they genuinely fear for their brand and image being tarnished.
Drop them for the rest of the season without pay.

If you don't want to sign a contract with a club with those terms, then f**k off OR better yet...stay off the bags you idiots.

yep so that's why the nrl is expected to come down hard on the players...it's no longer about first strike, it's about damage to the nrl brand as well as the clubs.

the clubs are right to question what duty of care nzrl had in showing they did what they could.

My post-Bali grog bogs (of which there have been 5 so far today) have more integrity than the NRL and their so called Integrity Unit.

f**king hell,
drunk on camera = 8 weeks and 125k
buying cocaine after a test match loss = 2 weeks and a charity donation

Are you sure you still aren't drunk from Bali??

Norman was a lot more than drunk on camera. Read posts above.

I was referring to another drunk on camera incident involving the Sydney Roosters and NSW halfback Mitchell Pearce, in which no coke was (proven) purchased and any on camera sex acts were only simulated.

Oh you mean the guy who pissed himself and verbally disrespected a number of guys/girls and dry humped her dog? That guy? Not sure if 8 weeks was warranted for that but that was very bad form on his behalf you can't deny that.

The issue is 'bad form' has been treated far more harshly than illegal activity on numerous occasions since.

I agree that the NRL can come down hard, go forth.

Just not sure I can cop that the NZRL may not have done enough.
Not sure how much more needs to be done for these idiots to stay out of trouble.
This is literally how you are managed at a school camp.
Bed time, lights out, a knock on the door to double check.

Cant believe we are having to go there, this absolves Proctor and Bromwich of responsibility.

6 weeks worse than buying coke? f**k outta here.

Beastiality, sexism and pissing yourself isn't a great look. Ask Monaghan. He got the sack and went to SL.

Browmich has so far got 2 weeks suspended, loss captaincy of Nzrl as well as dropped from senior playing group at storm and dropped from the NZ World Cup team at the end of the year. For me that's a bigger discipline than missing 8 club games. How much $$ for a test match?
Don't forget The Nrl hasn't handed there punishment yet.

His match fee was 20k. Paul Gallen was fined 50k for swearing on twitter. Pearce got 8 weeks, a much bigger fine(125k with 50k of it being suspended, still over triple the amount of the match fee) and lost the roosters captaincy. So no its not more of a punishment to get two weeks and lose the NZ captaincy.

No doubt what Pearce did is a bad look but the NZ captain and friends coming out of a club and into a car to do lines before going back to the club at 5am is far worse.

Well done NZRL! At least someone is showing leadership.

i initially thought that was a bit harsh for nzrl, but realised it makes a nice diversion for kidwell's incompetence when i realised JWH has been in far better form and proctor has played busteds for titans when they were missing NSA as well

I feel the Nrl has been quite good with there actions in the past couple years. "Bad form" is an instant media issue. If it's a video of something it's there in black and white. They can be disciplined. If they are charged but plead not guilty the nrl has to give the player the benefit of the doubt. If it's a serious offence in B Stewart's/radradra case an initial (bad look) suspension might be given then after court, necessary action is then taken or not. I feel for radradra due to his mrs "making false claims" and not really receiving any punishment for her lies.

As if Pearce would pay the $50k. It was a $75k fine. I haven't seen the footage of browmich and not sure if it has gone public. But the video no doubt didn't help pearces cause. Don't forget the $100,000 he would miss out on in the World Cup 2017.

Would rather have Tohu Harris or Manu Ma'u than Proctor in the Kiwis anyway.

Bromwich is a shame, but Matulino, JWH, NAS will likely come back into contention now. Not the end of the world.

Of course Kidwell is still coach so chances are slim to none still.
