Good win last week for the Beam side in their final trial, apparently winning 58 to 10.

With the Beam cup due to kickoff on easter weekend was wondering what our final side is for season 2006. They must have trimmed it down from the 22 players they have been utilising by now surely.

If anyone knows, I would appreciate it if they could post the side here for me and others who may be interested.

It will be good to see the double header at Henson Park in two weekends time. Hope the crowd arrives early to cheer the Beam boys on !!!

Cheers guys.

Yeah I saw the contracted ones. Is it true that Andrew LeBRETON is still playing for the Jets in 2006. That would be awesome and I hope it's true.

Surely they know who is gonna play be now though. Sometimes the info on this website is very hard to get. Feel for blokes like Greg who are interstate and rely on this website for info. As you know I don't miss a game and still can't find bugger all out usually.........

Like any good coach, Matto would be playing his cards close to his chest. I am sure he has an idea but then you also have to consider Roosters Flegg, Newtown Premier League, etc. As usual, the final make up will probably be unknown right up until the night before.

Le Breton is playing again this year. He's beefed up a bit too.

Top stuff mate. Can't wait to see one of the last loyal true blue Bluebags take the field again in 2006.

Will he be playing in game one Jeffles. Hope they are goin to make the bloke captain of the side. He has certainly earned it. The bloke plays for the jersey which is more than I can see from many of our current Prem/league players.
He has heart and I love that. Heart has been lacking so far but am hoping it will come back to the club in time.

Give it to em Andrew.....You little beauty !!!!

Thanks 2TB, living interstate when you are a jet fan is a tad frustrating. Having said that discovering this forum last year was great as it keeps me very well informed via all you bluebag fanatics. Off on a different tangent though, if our defence does not improve soon we will be in deep sh*t, especially when we face the eels.

David Vial will captain the JBC when he plays there. A good decision.

The NSWRL transfer of JBC players is not 100% yet. Souths Juniors still have a lot to add.

You will have to excuse my ignorance, but what's happened with Col Murphy ? Is he still involved. I couldn't imagine the Jets without him.

NSWRL has apparently authorised player s from JBC to play A grade...

time will tell.

Well with a 22 man squad there should be a few left over players if that's the case mate...

No, unfortunately he is not involved mate, however he is dearly missed by many of the fans. In fact we are currently in the process of trying to organise some kind of recognition from the fans to let him know how missed he actually is. Thinking along the lines of a shield type trophy placque with an inscription, and maybe a letter of thanks with a petition signed by as many fans as signatures we can get from the Hill ETC at Henson at one of the upcoming home games. His dedication and loyalty/love of the club is missed by many, and he is not forgotten by many of us..............

Well I definately don't want to give the bloke a big sloppy kiss brother, but just like the fact that there are still some of the older players faces who have given it all for the Jets still around at the club. Its a little bit too much too soon for me at times with all these new players at once..............And Andrew has always given 110 percent on the field, and can definately hold his own in Prem/league although is injury prone with that shoulder. Good to have depth of that talent at the club still, as the injuries in P/league have already started.........

There are other threads on here that discuss the topic mate. In short he applied for the position however did not get it.

What concerns me the most is NB that without Col and the trainers ETC these blokes may not really know what it is to be playing in that Royal Blue jersey and the pride and tradition may have momentarily disappeared.

I know the team we have right now is very talented and all, but the history of the club and the passion seem to be a little lacking on the field if you know what I mean.

Was however glad to hear the Chika, Tommy R etc have been giving the boys a pre-game chat in the locker room. Hope they are gettin an ear full of what is expected of them when they put that royal blue jersey on.

Go The Mighty Bluebags !!!

I know exactly what you mean 2TB, I just hope and pray that we are not falling into the old pattern of win at home and lose away? still early days I guess but if we hit the back end of the table it becomes ever so hard to climb back again!
