I'm never trying to be funny.

I'm only a fan yet I know exactly what Clinton is going to do every time he takes the ball up. Get smashed. He's a poor man's Martin Lang.

If he was almost free, he would be an acceptable buy for BRET.

Is it just me or is anyone else just pissed off that we'd even think about blokes who have shown they either aren't intersted, have had their time or have shown nothing?

I'd much rather us concentrate on bringing up our own juniors than signing pills like Daniela, Woolnough and Mitch Brown.
Harsh, mate. I think it depends what you buy them for. Not that I'm convinced we ever buy players for the right reasons - I suspect we merely take whatever we can get...

Experience counts for a lot and if you want to bring in the juniors you need to balance it out with a couple of old heads. If you put him on a twelve month contract and tell him to make it or break it, there should be no great mischief in bringing in a Joel Clinton. If you bring him in as some kind of a substitute for a big name, a la Hardman O'Hara, then clearly you've got a problem.

He's not worth it. As far as I'm concerned Gibbs and Galloway have been playing long enough to be considered experienced. Anyone with 100 games or more is experienced in my opinion

I'd like to have an experienced prop in the engine room.

The other guys would learn and it makes more competition for front row positions, which we have never really had.

As far as I am concerned, we should go out and buy about four bench level props and lt them fight it out for the positions with Galloway, Laurie and Gibbs.

What we dont have is competition for spots in important areas.

They don't need competition, they need smaller pay packets.

These guys are being paid big bikkies, thinking they're superstars, and they're playing like crap because, well because they can.

No one is accountable in the side, no one cares. So long as they get their big juicy pay, they're happy.

Seriously, I just don't want the bloke, he's 5 years past his best. Cheap or not cheap, he does nothing for me and I don't think he's a good fit for the club.

He's concussed more often that Todd Polglaise ever was.

would rather have skando for another year over clinton to be honest

I wouldnt have a prob with Scando going around again in 2010. Even if he is playing with Wests he a valuable back up player to have. He came back to firsts to help out and i dare say that with all players back on deck he will still hold his position for the rest of the year, not a bad effort i reckon for a player virtualy retired. And he wouldnt want a fortune either.

Come on...take him. You got rid of John Morris, so who will replace him with regards to the fans venting their anger?

what about micky peaa from the dragons, was good when he came into the dragons covering injuries from what i saw.
his also trying to crack 1st grade rather then someone who expects to be in 1st grade like clinton probably does.
just a thought
