His imporved performance has more to do with starting, & Creagh moving back to prop as it always should have been.

A couple of rounds ago the forum chorus was: Creagh "will never be a props ahole", hes a 2nd rower who can no longer cut it & needs to be axed end of season along with 16 other 1st grade players .. now everyones back aboard the creagh train, who bleeds red & white..

To be fair the team playing better fullstop is helping Thompson and others play better, Thommo for mine has been trying pretty hard all year, and im pleased that he seems to be fitting in, as hes a quality & aggressive player, and we need all that we can get.

Agree with your comments re Thompson....just for the record I was never off the Creagh train and never will be .....

hes not going anywhere...hes happy u can tell....first player to run to a try scorer to congratulate them...warning signs of a player that wants to leave?

Look no further than one Jamie Soward round 5 last year....

I'm walking down to Strathy station now....

Hope I get there in time for The Creagh!

I've already missed The Cooper and The Thomson.

...
And darn it! now I have just missed The Creagh.

Guess I'll hang around for The Benji or the Ah Mau or the Quinlan!

At least I have plenty of options!

Don't get the Ah Mau. It'll get stuck for 45 minutes between Lewisham and Stanmore.

Just speculation but I think that Mary's straight forward approach would work better with a guy like Joel. I can just picture Price getting under his skin

Thompson was one of the players I identified as under performing playing under Price. He certainly wasn't the first...add Soward, Scott, Vidot and co to that list.

Always knew that players don't lose ability that quickly...just takes the right coach and the right environment to get them right.

I'm a fan of Thompson's. I thought he has tried hard in a bad team all year. With the team playing better he has been able to show what he is worth. Price was certainly his downfall and he should be looking long term at the Dragons where I think he does fit in.

Of note is Mike Cooper who has steadily improved week in week out. He has a great future with the right coach.

He's a Goer but has some serious flaws in his game - guilty of some really poor attempts at tackle this year - also seems pretty poor when it comes to passing and offloads. But hey if he is keen and keeps ripping in Thommo is alright in my book

I dont mind a Goer with flaws. Which "Goer" doesnt?
Our best players are Goers who have issues in some areas. Merrin, with inept offloads, Benji with moments of magic and or tragic, Captain blood with laying on the player too long, ... it goes on.

We need some steel in the forwards... he has that. Along with Cooper and Creagh , we have a good footing. Add to that Stockwell (whom i rate highly ), JDB playing well, Ah Mau punching through the line, we are OK. Harrison and Hunt are not in the mix at the minute.

I think that pathetic attempt on Tariq will make him rip in some more. He is on the up. I think he is not as strong as his attitude but another offseason of weights he will seriously be kick ass and be feared. He will be a Beau Scott but the new improved. All of our forwards are starting to step up and they are all capable in attack and defense. If we win the ruck and keep our errors down as far as panalties and completions we are a very capable side. We used to accept a loss as a building process but now seem to have the attitude that is not acceptable.

100% except Merrins offloads have been great this year. If anything I think he needs to act like he is doing more to bring the defense up then get a quick play the ball.

Benji has copped way too much flack as his pro's have outweighed the con's and he disrupts a defensive line more than any other No.7 we've had in my memory.

Captain blood doesnt give away as many penalties lately as our wrestle has improved so there is no reason. The player around the legs lets go and the player above controls the wrestle. We have not been as proficient lately but a big improvement. Creagh has always bent the line when hitting the middle

It's good to see Stockwell back as I rate him too and it was a very good 1st game. Hampered by injuries I dont think we'll see the best of him this year as I hoped but next year he be competing with the best.

JDB could be selected on his defense alone. Run Sam Burgess at him and he gets sat on his ass!!! Enough said.

Au Mau I was a big fan of. Showed last game he has power but I wonder if from errors he's told to just shut up shop and run. IMO opinion he is both a confidence player and an impact player. He has errors under fatigue and should come off the bench

His recent turn around in "attitude" and/or form may have something to do with our incoming coach. If rumours are to be believed his presence has that impact on some players.
