Cut & paste coming up thisarv. When he’s sitting in the presser, tryin’ to offer up excuses (but they’re “not excuses”) as to what’s wrong with a team that the high flying Bulldogs put the cleaners through, I hope Bomber gets the full support of the board.

Isn't one of the major problems , tied in with the Flanno regime? Buying overly expensive players who have spent more time on the sidelines , than the field. And when they get back on the field, they play clunky. Some bought longer term. Two years IMO unless your a Pongatype player is long enough for a contract.
Chopping and changing your backline does not a combination make.Look at the settled Eels and Rorters and even the Smeagles.
And when your halves are pedestrian at times, the backline becomes a cluster*ck.No fast deceptive penetration to make breaks, that should be evident under the new rules.

I've got to say this, the Xerri situation helped skewer our attack. And losing Morris stuffed our solidity in defence.

We cannot afford more huge payouts for sacking coaches mid stream, we've done that before and the cash cupboard left empty.

We actually have some really good players in our team, much better than other clubs.

Morris just doesnt extract anything from them at all.

So why is it that we can never sign a coach like Trent Robinson, or Craig Bellamy...???

Okay, we got Jack Gibson, but even he seemed to give up on us (n.b. the Harold Holt line).

Honestly, our last decent football coach was Flanno, and before him, Johnny Lang...

I bet a lot of clubs ask that question.

The first two years we had Flanno we came 3rd and 4th last. Then we came 7th, 5th, Last, 6th then won the comp.

Until Flanno won us the comp was he a good coach before then ? Was he a good coach the first two years ?

You could argue from 2012 so Flanno's 3rd season was when we started to be consistent and come good.

Alot of people were calling for Flanno's head before he won the comp.

Point is, writing of Bomber after 1 and a bit seasons considering the issues he's inherited is pretty premature for mine.

Give him a full cap, let him get rid of some of those poor valued contracts and judge him more then.

Besides who the f**k are we going to get into replace him realistically ? Eddie Jones ? hahaha

How long do you give him Tiger Shark?

I dont think the board or the fans are keen on giving him another 3-4 years just to see how he goes.

We are in this sh!t because of Flanno. Roster management was poor at the end.

Personally I think Morris is probably a better tactician than Flanno, but Flanno a better man manager.

But I do wonder if Morris is able to stand up to the politics, something Flanno did well.

have you watched any of his press conferences recently? He’s starting to sound like Mary, “we made the semi’s last year” yeah and got absolutely murdered by a manly reserve grade side

Tactician or not, if the players don't respect you, you are nothing.

I dont think Morris commands the respect Flano had.

I dont reckon Morris tactically is anything that amazing. I havent seen the team do actually anything at all to suggest he has a plan. He can't even manage the interchange.

Press conferences don’t mean anything. It’s a PR exercise.

Probably correct, I don't watch any game Chad is selected in so can't comment except on the NQ game and they played some entertaining footy.
