i cant comprehend how stupid people must be to drive while suspended..

the thing you do to get suspended gets you in enough sh*t... why make it 5x worse

and to run into someone (more than likely up someones arse) proves he cant drive for sh*t anyway

Today Canberra Raiders fullback Josh Dugan notified the club that he was arrested on Sunday evening for negligent driving and driving while suspended. He will face court on July 13 to answer these driving charges. Dugan and the Raiders will await the outcome of the courts decision before making any further comment on the issue.

There must be something really wrong with the Raiders development system - you might have plenty of junior talent, but that counts for squat if they have to ride a pushbike to the game!

Interesting that the club managed to hide the fact that he had his licence suspended in the first place.

Pretty unimpressive, but not surprising. He seems to model himself on Carney.

Imagine what they will get up to together in Sydney.

This $hit must be driving the poor raiders fans made. Your best 2 talents in recent years both criminals who will end up playing for the c**ks... I hope you guys get some reward for all your junior development one day soon. It is heart breaking watching your own junior talent playing against you.

Might just have something to do with young blokes being told constantly how wonderful they are because they can play footy, and not having to suffer negative consequences for stuffups because all is forgiven, because they can play footy.

Dugan to face court for driving suspended
  • 833217-josh-dugan.jpg

STAR Raiders rookie Josh Dugan has been busted driving in a negligent manner while disqualified and must face court next month.

The Raiders fullback was stopped by ACT police last Sunday and has been ordered to appear in court on July 13.
The Canberra Raiders issued this statement at 4.49pm: "Canberra Raiders fullback Josh Dugan notified the club that he was arrested on Sunday evening for negligent driving and driving while suspended.
"He will face court on July 13 to answer these driving charges. Dugan and the Raiders will await the outcome of the courts decision before making any further comment on the issue."
Dugan is viewed as one of the NRL's rising stars and has had such an impressive season he was drafted into the NSW Origin squad for Origin II in case Jarryd Hayne was suspended.

The club might not have known.

It's possible.

I'd be surprised though, he's so young the first offence had to have occurred while he was on our books. You have to make a court appearance in order to have your licence suspended don't you?

If he managed to conceal that, then he's very secretive indeed.

if he was on his p plates and got pinched speeding twice or even once on a double demerit weekend, that would result in a suspension of his license and wouldnt need a court appearence

i imagine the club would have known about it, simply because he's been known to be late for training, and i imagine his in ability to drive a car would have come up in those discussions

That might explain why he was off his game last night. Might have got a flat on his pushie and had to thumb his way to the game or didn't have a lift home.

 nice

i was thinking perhaps he hadnt told them yet. The press release said he told the club today, so perhaps he hadnt told them (thinking he'd be dropped and thus no last ditch chance at SOO) and was worried they'd find out before he got a chance to tell them today, which would make it seem like he was trying to hide it
