"Josh has a contract with us until 2015".

These were the words I just heard uttered by Broncos Football Director Andrew Gee.

Needless to say I almost choked on SBWs manhood when I heard that line along with the rest of the interview regarding how he's in the Broncos plans and that's the end of it.

Surely that's a pisstake when you consider the Broncos complete and utter contempt for contracts. They wrote the book on being morally bankrupt and yet now ... after their dealings this year and ongoing underhanded shenanigans towards Milford they still have the nerve to trot out the "he has a contract" line!

Pot. Kettle. Broncos!

A contract can't become one until it's ratified, a euphemisim is 'airtight'. Since the ARLC ratifies contracts it can only be to blame if players are allowed to break them and still play. The added clauses in a contract depend how badly a club wants a player or lack of how badly a player wants to play.

NRL contracts are agreed stipulations, not binding by laws of the land, all it takes is for the ARLC to treat a broken contract the same way it would treat a Les Boyd king hit.

I love these convenient traditionalists who refuse to accept that contracts as they used to be are dead and buried. In most cases, they aren't worth the paper they're written on. In fact, they have been dead since Gordon Tallis sat out the year.

 Traditionalists!

You mean those of us who understand how the law works?

LOL well clearly your dipshit clubs don't understand how the law works because they allow these clauses to be placed in their contracts to satisfy the player that they have no intention of ever honoring. Too bad for them the player doesn't need their f**king approval.

Just for clarification, of course I'm talking about Canberra and not Canterbury who don't lose players because of contracts, they lose them because of club cliques that make players feel ostracized.

Yes, yes they do.

Barba needed the Dogs approval.

But given the length of the red carpet the Broncos rolled out for Barba behind the scenes the Dogs had little choice. And now the same is happening with Milford.

Both tragic cases of tortured young souls who must return to Brisbane or their hearts will remain forever broken.

Does Josh Hoffman have a relative in Sydney? Maybe he should get his aunt to move there or something and claim that he can't live without being by her side 24/7.

You wouldn't hear any argument from me. Hoffman has thrown himself into the same basket as Corey Norman as far as I'm concerned; a player who thinks he has some sort of divine right to a specific position in the team, one where there are far better options available and he has no desire to better himself to actually earn it.

I'm in the camp that is willing to offer Canberra a direct trade, Hoffman for Milford. Considering Hoffman is a proven multi season player whereas Milford isn't, they should consider that a generous offer.

Love it, the Broncos are becoming a threat again the whinging has begun. Soon we'll hear how the over rated players like Thaiday, Glenn, Gillett, Hannant, Kennedy, McCullough, Hunt, Reed ect are all great players that should be costing the Broncos a fortune, they are superstars and the Broncos who no one expects to make the 8 next are cheating the cap ect.

:lol: Becoming a threat again are they??

I think its just a case of people sick of their double standards mate. Believe me I don't think too many are shaking in their boots at the prospect of playing the Bronco's next season. :D

The only team the Broncos will be a threat to next year is Parramatta in the battle for the spoon
