I blame the dementia. Loudy couldn't tell you what he had for breakfast let alone remember what his opinions were in 2012

And the same Raiders fans all turned up to bag us for signing Sticky. Obviously if a bloke shafts your club like he did with us, you are going to lesser your view of him. As Bile Duct points out, his history suggests he can coach. I still think he was better for us than Kearney - and if he had stuck to his word, in fact, what he agressively defended even up until the day he defected - that he would see out his contract with us, we would pick ourselves up off the canvass anyway.

But if you wanna point the finger and claim hipocrisy, how many of you trolled over and bagged us for signing him in the first place? And how many of you are whinging about losing Milford mid contract, when you in fact did the same with Sticky? Yeah, blame get out clauses all you like, but if you didnt let Milford have a get out clause if his dad stubbed his toe, you wouldnt be in this position in the first place!:lol:

Oh did we stick a "leave whenever you feel like" clause in Milford's contract did we?

Ricky was entitled to walk out, Milford isn't. Not really the same thing.

Again I don't think any Raiders supporters expect much from Stuart but the first few months have been positive at worst. Lets wait to next year before we write him off as the destroyer of the Canberra Raiders (RIP murdered by Sticky)

So far so good. I doubt Wighton would have re-signed if Furner was still at the club.

Agree Pete. As much as I think Ricky is an ordinary coach, maybe going home will be the making of him.

So, then if you dont want to help the raiders get on a level playing field, just boot us out, put the license in Perth or CC, and let the cards fall where they may in the riverina. Just dont be surprised if some of this seemingly endless level of elite sporting talent the raiders continue to unearth and develop finds their way into AFL drafts instead of U20's RL teams.

So the CRL, is really the Canberra Rugby League and not Country Rugby League.

PM me your address mate and I'll have the tissues in the mail for you.

The broncos might not be salary cap cheats but they sure do have a very good advantage over a lot of other teams when their players are on free to air tv almost every week so are very marketable to any personal sponsors.

One another note - Channel 9 has a lot to answer for subjecting us to the same boring teams each week while leaving the more exciting brand of football to be played on fox. Should the clubs who don't get a game on free to air tv be compensated for the diminished sponsorship money the club would generate. Channel 9's choice isnt based on the quality of the game but more so the likely audience - how do the other clubs generate an audience when kids are brought up only watching the other teams. Even the so called experts who commentate struggle naming players from the other teams when they finally commentate on them in the finals.

if you guys don't want the Broncos to play most Friday nights, then you need to switch off the TVs. Chanel nine have said that the reason the Broncos play most Friday nights is because they rate. Ratings are what allow nine to sell ad space. No matter what Chanel get the TV rights, they will always play the higher rating teams on Friday nights. And if you try to prevent them, you get less money for a tv rights deal and therefore less money for the unprofessional clubs that can't survive without a hand out.

IMO, the Broncos will release Hoffman if he wants to leave but only after they get a transfer fee. Similar to what the bulldogs did in the Barba and Hannant situations

The NRL has systems in place which give some teams more advantages than others. If the NRL profess to offer a level playing field they need to actually do so, or at least drop the pretence.

Easy to say when your Broncos have the most advantage out of any team in the comp i.e. guaranteed FTA coverage, large exposure to corporate sponsorship and no competition for it.

I?d just be happy with junior concessions TBH.

If you think anyone who doesn't have a OZtam box affects the official "ratings" of FTA TV, your wrong.

Maybe, but Chanel nine base their decisions on official ratings. Not only on how much to pay for TVs rights but what games to show and when. and them paying over $1 billion for the rights earns them certain allowances.

And BTW, there are 3 more spots on Fridays for teams to play. The main reason a second game was brought in was so they could gave a guaranteed QLD team on Friday nights. And the Cowboys prefer to play most of their home games on Saturday.

Could still play more Titans matches though, along with Cowboys away games. Also 9's ratings have been falling lately so maybe they should be changing their programming decisions and having the Broncos on every week is a bad move

Do you really think what the Cowboys prefer is at all considered by 9? Donkeys prefer Sundays, as do most clubs but that doesn't come into it.
