Did it deserve 5 weeks? Probably not. But that's the punishment for his record.

I really wish people would be consistent with their arguments about how they want the MRC/Judiciary to act - do you want them to look at an incident simply isolated, or do they want repeat offenders to be punished more?

Turpin got hit with the same charge was facing 2 weeks.

3 weeks is soft tbh. The hit was exactly why they brought in the rule. To penalise so lightly doesn’t discourage it much.

Iirc it was a similar hit that killed the player in Queensland. It’s extremely dangerous obviously. DWZ was a sitting duck and could’ve easily been severely injured or worse. 3 weeks is a wet lettuce leaf tbh.

Two weeks seems a bit light for Roberts there, that definitely a good old Souffs leg up.

It's especially galling after Souths crying in the media recently about foul play.

Its only 2 weeks if he pleads guilty. If he tries to fight it and loses, its 3 weeks.

This so called MRC is something of a farce this year. The inconsistency with most of the charges is baffling to say the least.

Please discuss this issue, do you people think we should start a petition to outline our disgust with the inconsistencies to the NRL?

Edit**Go France.

I think inconsistency is a massively over rated thing in the NRL. The objective isn't to be consistent it is to be impartial and honest. Some inconsistency from game to game is inevitable unless we have just the one referee doing all 8 games. The extent of levels of inconsistency is over emphasised. I think coaches and commentators like to use to word "inconsistent" a lot so that people don't catch on to the fact that they (coaches and commentators) are not very good at their jobs.
