The Game Judiciary & Match Review charges - 2022 season

The first step should always be: "Was the player attempting to make a legal play?".

I think this is where we disagree. The first question from my perspective should not be about intent but about execution ‘was it a legal okay’. In the context of dangerous contact the first question should be “did he put the player into undue danger”.

Was it an accident is always a slippery slope. I am not saying Dale’s wasn’t an accident (as I believe it is), but we had people claiming Barnet’s elbow earlier this year was a reaction and not deliberate; he didn’t mean it. Mitchell on Manu. It’s almost some sacred taboo that you can’t say that an act of foul play was deliberate.

Come on mate.

It’s been stated ad nauseum that you were trying to buy Melbourne culture. Fitzy must’ve missed the included grubbiness clause and the omission of the teflon as part of the package.

Should’ve read the fine print. But Dapto boys have never been know for their literacy skills.
Well done!

I do laugh at all the comments on social media saying “omg games gone soft”, it’s all well and good until the other player ends up with a spinal injury. f**k Cleary

We all know that Cleary will be flogged with a wet lettuce.

In a week where the NRL press were frothing at the mouth about all the so-called controversy, Nathan's fine will be given about 5 mins airtime before they move onto which coach should be sacked next.

Karl Lawton got 4 weeks for that tackle on Cameron Murray earlier in the season. Cleary’s looked worse imho.

lawtons was clumsy and no intent. Cleary went for the neck breaker drive into the ground.

will be an interesting result I reckon he gets grade one or two. He was sent so that should count for 2 games suspension if grade one he has a week in the bank for future foul play
