If I were the Dragon's CEO, I'd be calling a press conference and showing all the incidents where other teams players have infringed worse than the Dragon's and either did not get sin binned, no suspension or simply a fine and embarrass the NRL administration. What can they do to us? Get the refs to shaft us during games, they already do that, suspend our players, they already do that.

We might have a laugh when we bring up Toovey's "there needs to be an investigation" but he was right.
I agree with this Trifili but you know that what you say won't happen as our blokes in the head office are weak as p...!

I like your thinking Trif,
This would show some level of fight , instead of just rolling over like Webb and Griffen seem to do with every bad decision. Griffen , Webb and Craig Young need to lead by example and show the fight we want to see from our players
This is it. The men responsible for running the club and the players must stand up for the players otherwise, why should the players care? Just go out and do their own thing - get sin binned, suspended, fined etc as no one in charge is doing anything to stop it.

The gross inequity and injustices dished up by the people running this game are an absolute joke.

I will be writing to the NRL tomorrow and advising that after following this code for 60 odd years I am now done with it.

The blatant mistakes in this round coupled with the piss weak fines handed out for major indiscretions is the last straw.

In their heart of hearts the big wigs at NRL HQ know it is happening but don’t care enough to even attempt to change it.

That big goomer from Melbourne gets a fine and others are not penalised but put on report and Sua gets binned fmd there is something rotten in the corridors of power in the NRL

It’s not just us copping it but for sure if you are nit one of the chosen clubs you will be done over time and time again.

We can criticise our club all we like for not complaining hard enough or paying fines for telling it like it is but in the end they are not the ones coming up with and administering this bullshit

Highly paid executives and administrators run the game and they alone are responsible for how that pans out.

how also does the referee from the tigers / warriors not get bunker to check on no try
BUT more to the point why didnt the bunker check for themselves if it was a try I thought that was part of their brief
remember last year how many times did the bunker get involved with tackles ref missed or deemed okay only for play to be pulled up tackles later other end of field for the ref to be told penalty 60 metres back down field
total inconsistency from game to game

They just didn't want the Tigers to win. It is as clear as day that there is an agenda against the joint venture clubs.

You are wasting your time OT
Annesley has the perfect answer to stop you in your tracks.
"it comes down to officiials and varying opinions at the spur of the monent under the pressure of coning up with a decision quickly un games"
he also says "match review spend hours going over these things to work out gradings and everyone has an opinion and opinions vary"
There is no comeback to teflon Annesley. The weak kneed journos never question him unless he sanctions the question
The only thing you can do if allowed, is show the judiciary the inconsistencies this year and what hits received a fine or just Grade 1, and hopefully get downgraded where Sua would just cop a fine.

Why can't we question that if there are variations in opinions, why do we always get the harsh "opinions" and not the other. There must therefore be discrimination in these instances.

I have already noted in a post I was nonplussed to see Sua‘s tackle on Finucane a grade 2 and Ramien’s good old head high on our bloke only grade 1. Any apparent official explanation seems very dodgy about the ‘force’ ( as if there is a force meter attached to players) of tackles determining binning of players and affecting gradings of so called offences.

Sua’s tackle was a nothing or at worst marginal tackle on Finucane who charged strongly at Sua with lowered head in a slight crouch motion driving into Sua’s upper chest / armpit, attempting to drive Sua backwards. Sua stood his ground and wrapped him up. As Finucane went down he started rubbing the top of his head. Check how perplexed Sua himself and Ben Hunt were when given 10 in bin; abject disbelief. Even commentators not known to be kind to the Dragons were nonplussed also. Have I got that tackle situation wrong?

You can not blame people for being suspicious of the adjudication of this matter and more broadly the whole judiciary process. I haven’t seen the Nelson S matter in the storm game. I’m just giving my opinion on Sua’s case. I am now increasingly distrustful about the administration of the NRL. The system looks seemingly capricious at best. I watch games and see the contradictions regularly.

I guess I began to be distrustful with the whole judicial process when Ravalawa challenged his last citing and suspension. It was reported that the judiciary met and considered the evidence for 5 minutes before returning and upholding the full suspension. 5 minutes?

The judiciary process hasnt changed much at all after a much heralded review. The same people I understand operate it and a few extra persons have been added this year. The good old ‘gradings’ in particular, have a greater influence on who makes the semi finals and who don’t than supporters think.

I just wish our club would pay the shut your mouth $10k fine and challenge this loathsome situation.

Totally agree with you gents about our blokes calling a spade a spade and then paying a $10 k fine .

There comes a time when one must make a statement , whether it be for the better or worse and now is that time before our boys are too damn frightened to tackle their opponents for fear of incurring the wrath of the refs and those shat-heads of the judiciary .

For what it is worth perhaps Dragon David has something about the NRL not giving a damn about the joint - venture clubs ? 🤔

Where is our CEO...haven't seen or heard from him for months. Is he still in that position or has he left. Its like the cone of silence from the club. Griffin doesn't seem to have the energy to say anything in defence of the club and his players in the press conferences...he seems to be half a sleep when he fronts up..

I assume Hook is one of the more older coaches so given most games are in the evening and by the time the game finishes and he then has to front up to do the press conference, it's probably well past his bed time.

I'd like to see both Ryan Webb and Anthony Griffin tell us that they will do everything in their power on behalf of the club to curtail the amount of unjustified treatment of our players as compared to the treatment of other club's players by the refereeing officials.

At the same time, address what they will be doing to ensure that the players will be coached/trained to perform better effective tackling techniques that would nullify penalties, sin bins and suspensions imposed on the players during matches. This would hopefully help us with the current defensive problems we have.

Here is an article that supports our query on why we are pissed off with officialdom when NSS only gets a fine while Su'a's tackle has him suspended.

It seems that everyone outside of the NRL inner circle can clearly see the huge discrepancies in decisions both on and off the field. Holbrook is right in talking about the "haves and have nots". Why is the NRL too blind to see it, or too lazy to do anything about it? Too busy looking after their favourite teams - and bugger the rest.
