Thanks blacksa. Yes it is a hip drop tackle onto the legs by Api. Not sure if Ilias was hurt though and if he had been, then Api could have copped something similar to JDB.
Injuries shouldn’t come into it DD although we know they do. The fact that it wasn’t even a penalty & unbelievably the NRL promotes it as the tackle of the week. WTF
I saw Jack Hetherington get 10 in the bin two weeks ago for an open hand slap.🤪
It’s wearing me down the way things are going.

I see your point blacksa. It gives us all the shits how inconsistent the match review and judiciary see things.

Your last statement!. Where we could go with that. Robots not footballers
Professionalism, athletes and size preference, stand up tackles, wrestle on ground, video review, match review, copy cat sterotyped plays and coaching. Americaisms infiltrated in language, expansion targeted outside of Australia, over sized media and NRL admin gravy train all funnelled to now 2 premium NRL competitions for men and women.
We saw it coming - Super league but tried to resist it in 1997 but has come back and taken over as the new millenium game. The way it is and sign of the times unfortunately.

Off the beaten track somewhat , but what about the ref telling the Storm trainer to get his arse of the field in last night’s match against the Panthers !

“ Get off ! I won’t have it ! “ says the ref to the sod who was on the field since kick-off instructing the players . About bloody time someone done something about that . Quite sure Bellyache wasn’t too happy about it . 😂

Bet ya it doesn't happen again.

I still don't get it that a trainer needs to be on the field giving instructions for first grade.

It's bloody ridiculous. They stop doing it around the Under 9's.
As we realize Bellamy will do anything and everything as long as his mob of angels get the win . And mojo you are certainly correct about that stopping after the little league players start to grow over 2 feet in height .

I think this sin bin on Tom Burgess was bloody ridiculous. It was a great ball and all tackle by Burgess on Hazleton and if the blasted Bunker official looked at it closer it should not even have been a penalty, the useless shit he or she is. I'm over the inconsistencies of these refs and bunker rulings. It is all a load of shit and too much control on the matches.

I find that games are now between the two teams and the officials all trying to outdo each other with of course the officials having more control - because what they say is fact and when questioned by anyone, it is just waved away even though there are challenges but once your challenge is gone, what do you have left?

But it was ok for Asofa to fall with his elbow on Egan's face last year and crack 2 teeth but the MRO could not determine the point of contact and force applied.

Much easier when the NRL releases the draw for each season they simultaneously release the final ladder placings and outcome of the semis, that way supporters don't have to go through agony and false hope that their team has a chance.

Tom Burgess charged grade 2 careless high tackle. What a farce. I'm over it.

They may as well play touch footy but just the slightest heavier touch would get a player suspended the way they judge things now.
.

Really, really unbelievable.
I didn't think his tackle was that bad by Burgess.
Lomax will probably cop it.
But the worst one was the Nrlw Parra spear tackle.
Which the Knights player landed on her head

Is Lomax a clean skin, i.e does he have any priors in the past 12 months??
I have not seen the incident.
So it was a head slam??
Not sure on his record. On replays I saw it appears to be a head slam but aim was a back slam rather than deliberate in my view. Rava also likley to be cited I think as put on report for a shoulder to the head

Simple fix, just get back to rewarding lower tackles. The game is coached and played to reward stand up grab tackles two in and 3rd dive at the legs when momentum basically halted or in the will of slowing the play the ball as the game is too quick. Not saying speed the game up just make the ruck clean and play to the rules, play the ball properly and defense / markers stand where they should not one of them 3 metres running back etc
