A number of players we have have no respect, no brains and no sense. We had the JDB saga, the BBQ, the no turn up at the presentation night, Craig Young/Brett Finch matter, the training argument between Lomax and Amone and now this absolutely unbelievable incident involving Amone besides other things I might have missed that this Club has endured.

We are a complete basket case and just very badly run from top to bottom.

The embarrassments just keep on coming and they are some of the reasons why no top class players want to come to us. What are the new signings thinking now?

The club needs to make a stand and put everyone on notice that should anyone step out of line for even the smallest thing, they will be sacked with no pay.

Id have a crack on a 1yr deal for Blake Austin - 30yo in the UK at least experienced, great attacker average defender but would make a great foil for Ben and the younger guys in the backline

Amone allegedly chased the guy down with a hammer and even went as far as jumping on to a neighbouring roof when the victim did the same to get away from him. After hitting him with the hammer, it is alleged the victim fell off the roof and hit an air conditioning unit on his way down suffering serious injuries.

Amone will do time for this, that is a certainty.

You may not like Woods or Mbye for their playing ability but I'd like to think both are well esteemed individuals who wouldn't commit heinous crimes like Amone is alleged to have.

I do recall in the last week or so seeing some footage on Channel 7 news about a fight on a rooftop and a bloke falling on an ac unit. It was all there on video.

What a dumb f**k. Doesn’t look like he has a leg to stand on if it is in fact the footage that was on the news.

We need to be careful that we don’t tar all the young brigade in our squad with the same brush. From what I’ve seen most of our young group conduct themselves reasonably well.
Having said that I’d love to see the club adopt an absolute zero tolerance stance on inappropriate behaviour, gang culture / behaviour and acts leading to criminal charges etc.
I’m going to sound old fashioned but in past times players grew up with football players as heroes. Today it’s hip hop artists, MMA fighters and a glorification of gang culture that paints the narrative for many of them. It all glorifies violence. Absolutely none of it is a positive influence.
