I just can’t believe how dumb these players are! Every year there is some stupid illegal activity carried out by a St George player with an ignorant explanation for it.
Well Bud gets his chance to shine now
Let’s see
I thought the Vaughn thing, was just kids mucking up but the club went overboard in punishment and the year collapsed.

Dufty ringing members apologising… he should have apologised for his defence as well!

I do recall in the last week or so seeing some footage on Channel 7 news about a fight on a rooftop and a bloke falling on an ac unit. It was all there on video.

What a dumb f**k. Doesn’t look like he has a leg to stand on if it is in fact the footage that was on the news.

There must be some idiot gene that is inherent in footballers.
Bluudy hell ! I did see that a couple of times by pure chance and it was shocking to look at . You could see that there was a altercation occurring on the roof and then you seen one chap run away with the other bloke chasing him .

The poor chap hit the air- conditioning unit and then drop to hit the driveway very hard indeed .

I had no idea that it was our Dragon player involved , all I can say is from watching that footage is that he is gone and the chances of him spending time in the big house has increased significantly should that film be played in court .

No probs training. I am sure the players already knew and they can get on with the job
100% the drama will follow Junior every step of the way from now on, guilty or innocent. The squad and coaches have a huge job on their hands and don't need this distraction.

I would say most players will have a view on what has allegedly transpired and will feel pretty disgusted about it.

Why risk team unity. He's going to be stood down anyway by the looks of it.

Provide him with a personal trainer, and a psychologist to make sure he's ok. Letting him train with the squad on a daily basis is an unnecessary risk and a hard no from me.

Even if he was told to by his father or thought he had to help his father he’s gone way too far with his actions.

FFS the tradie could’ve been killed or very seriously injured from the fall.

I’m really shocked & disappointed in his actions & his contract should be terminated immediately, regardless of innocent until proven guilty going by the footage alone.

Understand completely, but the club can't simply cancel his contract without paying it out, which would stuff up our salary cap. If / when there is a Guilty verdict, the club can cancel the contract legally.

I doubt he will join the group, too much of a distraction after the jdb fiasco.

Three on one, they are all in a lot of trouble.

Nature strip dispute originally.

Say he’s 20 now, 2 years to reach a hearing, finding of guilt (say), 5 years in the slammer, he can play touch in there but not full contact.

The body starts to lose it muscle mass and the food is basic.

Gets out at 27, another season in Reggies, and takes the field again at 28. Say 3 or 4 year career.

And apart from time, let’s say he gets the factory average salary ( under the old system), at 320k a year or and he’s done a whopping $2.5m.

Maybe we have a legal system that lets him temporarily free on the basis that he pays the victim 50% of net earnings but only spends half of his time in a cushy gaol after he retires.

Then Tradie gets $1.3m to help him get better and all that and for his family and junior gets punished.

Im just putting it out there as a way to help Tony tradie.

No one in our neighbourhood cares about nature strip parking that I know about.

We like tradies, they get a free cold drink, coffee and a clear work space.

If the Samoans next door need to use our driveway for a tradie, ask us in advance nicely or whatever, probably all good.

The Amone neighbourhood doesn’t sound very nice.

Maybe you dragon diehards should chop the Illawarra off after all.

This is beyond stupid, even for an nrl player. It’s indescribable.

A bit of humour in these situations doesn’t hurt, nobody is being rude or offensive. SBD82 comment was funny, you know, because we all wish that Mbye and Woods were the ones now unavailable for selection? Get it? Cause they suck? At football ofcourse, exemplary human beings obviously.
You don’t have to like his post, you also don’t need to police the forum.
But you do you Ben.
In my mind none of that is funny for many reasons including:

- The victim in the incident likely has family and friends tied to the local community. So called 'loyal' supporters on this forum cracking jokes would be highly offensive to said family and friends. So it isn't true that 'nobody is being rude or offensive'.

- The crime alleged and the reports at hand are a very very serious thing which has been established will likely lead to jail time if found guilty. How many other players has our club had sentenced to jail whilst under contract?

- Amone's foolish actions in this matter show that he has taken the position of privilege he was in, for granted. That same position of privilege has been respected and gained by players such as Woods and Mbye for a long period of time, both have represented their states in the sport. To denigrate their good characters by insinuating they were involved in this atrocity is doing both a massive disservice. Neither deserve that regardless of how you or others feel towards their playing ability currently.

None of our players or supporters deserve this awful turn of events, Crush. The only person who should be held accountable for this is Amone himself, surely you and your forum mates can think things through a little bit before making moronic posts.

If he’s guilty, I just can’t see how he’s not going to gaol.

His big problem is that tradie jumped probably because he was scared shitless and badly injured himself. He may never be the same.

The courts can’t really condone or permit this behaviour to go unpunished. It’s just too f**king serious.

And if he’s found guilty, I think he should do time.

Then come back to the game and help tradie out with his medical bills etc.

It was mentioned before, it’s a big waste, but he’s extraordinarily dumb. Players are told to chill all the time. It’s drummed into them. He didn’t listen.

He must have the IQ of a door knob.

On guilt Im thinking 18 months to 2 years non parole.
He could have killed the tradie. It's extremely serious and it must have strong consequences.

I was there, and I’m willing to testify that the unidentified co-accused were Mbye and Woods.
So, if all are stood down, it would require a major re-shuffle and the recruitment of replacement players.

Got it, I’ll get started on writing out my detention lines Sir.

Of if/when he pleads guilty. Our main problem is finding a replacement. Mbye and Bird surely are a second-choice solution and not what the teams need to progress to the next level.

Frank Facer must be spinning in his grave at the state of this Keystone Cops club, lurching from one off-field player brain explosion or ill-conceived strategy of the Board to another. Our near-total inaction in the market was always going to have consequences and we are now in a position where we've lost half our B-list spine before a ball has been kicked and the likelihood that Hook will move Mbye to fullback and Bird to 5/8.
What a cracker 2023 is going to be...

Leaving the Amone legal matter alone. Amone played solid football last year with a couple of class moments. I think he lacks that bit of speed and dash like Cody Walker and Luai possess. Let’s see how Jayden Sullivan goes if given the opportunity.

Moses Mybe is not a boggy man. Whenever he has to step up he plays well without being outstanding in multiple positions.

Yes Aaron Woods best days are behind him, however again he is a sensible bloke who appears to always give his best. Also, get a kick out of his son with the water bottle and dragons jersey on celebrating on dads shoulders.
