Rip Amone's contract up straight away, this is the last bullshit the Dragons need in yet another f**ked up pre season. Get the talent scouts out there to find the best 5/8 playing bush football at the moment and sign him. That is if the Dragons have talent scouts that can search outside the NRL or the local junior ranks these days.
WTF ? You heard of a bloke called Sullivan ?

And, if found guilty, Amone has thrown away a potentially lucrative career, and for what? A vehicle parked on the grass? Please! Surely his brain was saying "I don't think this is a good idea" as he climbed the ladder holding the hammer. How could his actions ever lead to a positive outcome for him? My mind boggles at the absolute stupidity of his actions.
You gotta think we don’t need this sort of reaction under pressure . the kid was given a free pass to the No 6 position and one would now think he had a limit that didn’t justify keeping Bud out of the 13.

If he’s guilty, I just can’t see how he’s not going to gaol.

His big problem is that tradie jumped probably because he was scared shitless and badly injured himself. He may never be the same.

The courts can’t really condone or permit this behaviour to go unpunished. It’s just too f**king serious.

And if he’s found guilty, I think he should do time.

Then come back to the game and help tradie out with his medical bills etc.

It was mentioned before, it’s a big waste, but he’s extraordinarily dumb. Players are told to chill all the time. It’s drummed into them. He didn’t listen.

He must have the IQ of a door knob.

On guilt Im thinking 18 months to 2 years non parole.

From what I understand:

Surprised he got bail.

Crimes Act NSW

Self Defence?

Im not sure how you are supposed to defending your dad by chasing a bloke over rooftops with a hammer.

Tradie doesn’t seem to pose an urgent or proximate threat and whatever the dispute, it doesn’t seem proportionate.

Sounds like the youngster is in it deep.
Well you’ve posted for ABH. He’s been charged with reckless GBH in company which has a 14 year jail term and statistics show nearly 90 % convicted of GBH do time. If proven he’s beyond f**ked

Thank you for the correction, I just looked up an article thus the disclaimer.

I will retract the earlier post and file the fresh charge shortly.

Did you find any comfort in the legislative defences? Does the section apply?

I apologise for my earlier inadvertent error and provide the fresh indictment for the thread to consider:

An understatement.

4 years non parole?

No form, plea of guilty, previous good character, discount etc…

Surely he’s a flight risk?

If guilty, I concur, he’s totally f**ked.

And I’ve met him briefly ages ago and unless he’s somewhere cushy he’s going to need the Islander and allies crew in gaol.

I cannot understand what possessed him to go after the man with a hammer ? There is absolutely no excuse whatsoever for his actions - more so when the chap has suffered serious injury as a result of Amone’s attack .

Still the cast is now set , he has been charged with assault and will be appearing before the courts in February and I cannot see any defence that will save him.

The Dragons need to have an emergency meeting and decide his future as quickly as possible, we can not afford this to be another long running saga such as the J.D.B case .

The Dragons truly need to be on the front foot about this - save the patient and cut the cancer out now .

There was talk that he jumped up and down atop the tradies pickup. I haven’t seen any mention of wilful damage. I’d have thought they would not leave that out?

I wonder if the alleged property damage was in company?

But as we know, if guilty, he’s more likely to serve his sentenceconcurrently not consecutively.

mmmm.

If I was the cops, I’d trade the intimidate for a plea of guilty to the head charge.

Let’s not forget Tony tradie though, I hope he’s ok long term. No permanent pain or f**kedupness.

He should get the same process as everyone else gets.

The allegations are many times worse than a vanilla assault regrettably.

I don’t know what you guys should do with him at the moment. A bit tough for me, I’ll leave that to you faithful and for wiser minds! I just don’t understand all the club variables etc.

Defending his father from some mean words by hitting the guy with a hammer and nearly killing him? f**k off
Maybe he believed the tradie dropped his hammer. So he’s gone back to the house, got one, and tried to hand it to him. But the tradie saw it as a sign of aggression and took off up the ladder. Amone being such a nice bloke, ran up the ladder to make sure he got it.

I just can’t believe how dumb these players are! Every year there is some stupid illegal activity carried out by a St George player with an ignorant explanation for it.
Well Bud gets his chance to shine now
Let’s see
