It's all up to the NRL Integrity Commission and we know the likely outcome - he's not a Rooster or Storm player so no leniency for you mate. Although their own policy (automatic stand down for cases attracting a 11 year+ sentence) should see him clear to play as it's now down to max 5 years.

Would be good for Amone to be available but....he should not be first choice no.6.
He should be punished by being cover for Sullivan and Turner (if he is good enough)...and also Hunt.
Amone did ok last year without being a star.
Was hoping this would be the year he truly lived up to his potential.

So the alleged incident shall be tried at a local court , instead of the district court , let’s welcome the kid back with open arms .

I am sure that he no longer possesses any aggression whatsoever and the footage of the incident shown - quite clearly - on the news really means nothing .

At the time he was a young man who had clearly lost his sense of reason , whatever the provocation may had been , he reacted in a manner that caused serious injury to the tradesmen - but I am sure that he will be a different man once he pulls on the Big Red V jersey ? ? ? 🤔

My understanding of the matter is that under NSW Law the original charges that were laid could only be heard at District court level. Therefore I would assume that the original most serious charge has been either dropped or the charge reduced in regards to the severity. It is the only way that his charges can be ruled over at local court level.

I’m no psychologist nor having any understanding of the adolescent male brain. However, I for one feel that it would be a good idea to welcome him back to the footy field…better for him to take his aggression out on the footy field rather than on unsuspecting members of the public. In short…better for him to hammer opposition defences rather than tradesman who parked on his front lawn.

IMO the last sentence couldn’t be further from the truth.
Last year Amone was 89 kg

Heavier than Sloan, Hunt, Ramsey and Sullivan.

Same weight as Mbye. In terms of the position he plays he has size.

In relation to his defence, last year he improved.

Yes Amone missed tackles, however all teams target halves. His tackling efficiency was better than Hunt’s and very similar to Bird.

Amone showed greater commitment in defence in a team that was poor defensively throughout 2022.

I wouldn't mind seeing how the team went with Amone 6 and Bud 7 and without Hunt's influence, just for one or two games, I think they'd surprise a lot of people. Liddle 9 and Sloan 1, with the other two a whole new look spine, the possibilities are endless but we'll just have to wait for that I guess, Hook doesn't have the balls to try that line up.

If the NRl allow juniour back in then I would say he will have to do some sort of educational course to make nrl happy - namely an anger management course . Maybe saints should be proactive and get him to complete whilst the stand down is in effect . He will have to bide his time in reserves before he gets a look in

With Hunt at 9, it could be worth a try.

He may have to if Hunt is selected for QLD again but my guess he will put Mbye in but on the bright side come SOO time Griffin may no longer be our coach

Hunt would never go for that

I believe that we would all like to see him return to the Dragons . However it would be better if he has been cleared by the legal process before that return .
