Yes he is out and enjoying dinner at some stage, does not mean his thumb is not broken
Meanwhile, hooker Andrew McCullough has been cleared of a serious thumb injury. There were concerns McCullough may have broken his thumb during the loss to the Storm but scans on Monday confirmed no significant damage. It is expected he will take his place to play the Titans on Saturday

I betcha that Hook was hoping and praying for his lovechild to be alright so that he can pick him to play on the weekend at Suncorp. Can't have the team without his special signing playing.

To me this just looks wierd, happy for these guys to be mates to be having dinner out somewhere after the match, what would the conversation be like, I could just imagine Tommy Raudonikis going out to dinner after a match with the Manly players.
Maybe Coates is trying to coax Macca into signing up with the Storm, seeing that Brandon Smith is moving to the Roosters and they will need someone to be back up for Grant. Yes I know, only wishful thinking. Who were mingling at the other tables out of the picture? Was it Bellamy and Hook discussing game plans that would suit the Dragons for future matches? Bloody not likely as Hook likes to remain ignorant.

Oh, I think that at the other table next to Bellamy and Hook are Munster and Hunt trying to sort out their differences and Hunt putting to Munster that he will be best buddies with him if he joined the Dragons.

I wonder what the blondes are discussing?

I'm sure the blondes were discussing another sort of game plan Dave, and in all reality there would be nothing for Griffin and Bellamy to exchange because one has it all and the other has nothing, oh except for one thing a 0-12 record :))

I think Hook has put training wheels on Jnr and told him to let Hunt and McC run the show.
I think that sort of tactic not only stifles a young talent but also plays up to the ego's of the older guys who are like "yeah, you just keep out of the way and leave it to us". He should be given free rein to do what he does best but that doesn't seem to fit Hook's ethos of boring, one dimensional defend and you'll win footy. The opposite of Bellamy, who uses all the elements of footy including letting people be the best they can be. Imagine Paps playing for us under Hook, he'd miss a tackle and get dropped after two weeks.
There was an incident a few games back where we scored and we were all smiles and patting each other on the back and McC was near Jnr and I expected the two would congratulate each other but McC kind of ignored him and turned towards the others. I might be over-reading it but something unfriendly passed between them I thought. It made me angry at the time.
When are we going to see plays with Hunt and Jnr working together like a Hunt/Widdop combo or take your pick of other teams halves combos getting the job done ? There'll come a point when Jnr will just force his way in and play how he wants - which will likely be quickly followed by him joining Sloan in 2nds.
Speaking of Sloan, I'd love an explanation of exactly why he was dropped.
It's hard being a Saints fan.

I agree with you entirely, to answer a couple of your questions, Sloan was dropped for defensive issues, i remember hook talking about it during a press conf but he wasn't prepared to say what those issues were, I believe they were not organising the defence properly and getting it set up right. As for Amone there there has got to be something going on, our play is just not structured to set him free, he free's up when sullivan is on the field, you're right we just cant have Hunt running the show because its to easy for teams to shut that down. My hope is that Sullivan at some stage will force his way at 7 and hopefully that will make Amone come alive as well and Sloan also if he is there, I've been calling it for weeks and it needs to happen and happen very soon or the season will be completely done. The style of footy we play is from the bygone era and we will be a nothing side if we continue with it.

My feeling is that the spine is totally arsed up. When we have a snail at hooker and not much speed amongst the four of them and not too much thinking going on, we won't score too much as evidenced by the points scored so far being 28,16,12, 14, 12, 21, 14, 12 and 6, an average of 15 points per game. The Storm has averaged 37 points as a guide.

We have conceded ,on average so far, 24 points in the 9 games played, so I would say that we need to start scoring in the vicinity of 25 points per game from now on to be winning. A big task which I can't see with this spine.

I occasionally catch up with people I used to work with who are now working for my competitors in the same industry. Not sure what the fuss is about. Be hard to eat with Tommy blowing smoke in your face for the whole meal :D

People speaking like hook doesn’t know how to bring through juniors… he only brought through cleary, edwards and fisher Harris to name a few for penrith 😂😂😂 one of which is the best halfback in the comp right now.
I guess this is why the Board extended his contract so that later this year all the young guns would be running around in first grade ready to rip in in 2023. They will end up like Cleary, Edwards, Fisher-Harris and the rest and we will be heading for a premiership at the end of that year. Wow, it is all working out now. It took me a while to figure it out but that's it, right on the button.

see your point but slightly different scenario, nathan was living in the family home. so you are saying it would have been fine for both teams to get together after the match and have a BBQ, within covid rules of course, just to discuss what a hiding the dragons just got and sink a few coldies

yes well i must be too old school because i remember reading an article by roy masters who said "they are the opposition and will always be the opposition" and if roy was at the table you would have had the smoke from tommy and a few face slaps from roy :)))

You have gone from 2 ex team mates catching up for a meal after a game to now the 34 players having a BBQ and discussing the match, i have no problem whats so ever with ex team mates catching up after a game having a drink or a feed.

Well thats your perspective on it and of course you are entitled to it, I however think there is no place for players of one club to be running around and socialising with players from another club, especially during the comp, I dont have an issue with it during the off season. And look I understand it was just a meal and a drink, and personally I dont think AM is a bad guy, to me it just wasnt a good look straight after the game that we got flogged in. But that is solely my view and thats all it is.
