Yet he hangs around like a bad smell until the case is heard.
Which is questionable.

Here’s a link to the latest from clubland from nine news;

I suppose they are thinking he’d best train in case the nrl don’t stand him down.

That’s a risk because of the likely fall out if he is nailed and that another player may be missing the valuable training time and resources he’s utilising.

How it effects the culture, it can’t be ideal, I think I underplayed that earlier in the thread. Oh well…

He looks happy, not a care in the world, despite the extremely serious charges. I suppose he has to put on that face for the boys. A bit of bravado.

Its a fair question to ask what he’s doing around the club at the moment.

The footage shows an excerpt of the lads running, presumably on their way to sort roofie out. At some pace.

you have to ask the question, why our leaders are not respected or valued by other members of the squad, we did have moose, sims, McColough, and hunt. If you look at both moose and sims history , its not flash, McColough like frizell , are not outspoken enough, they just like to set the example. With hunt there were rumors they other players werent happy with his new contract. So basically what makes a good leader in todays game along with all the attributes of culture that he must possess, who knows. Now you take Norm Provan, one of the greatest leaders the club has ever had, he was feared and respected, a bloody hard man. Would that work in todays environment, i dont think so, not with the new wave of talent that is happening in the NRL. I know a lot of people didnt like him but Cam Smith has been one of the best leaders at every level of the game in its modern age, and I dont think we have too many like him at the Dragons.
The answer is simple. To gain respect you have to earn it.

Our club management are a bunch of morons who do as they like and most times it is not in the best interest of the club, player group or fans.

Our Captain may be a good player (at hooker) but a poor leader. We need to find a player with better leadership qualities.

Our head coach is not the answer to the many problems our squad is facing.

So, to gain some respect and bring in a good culture, we need to overall the BOD, fire the head of football, fire the head coach and find a replacement recruitment/pathways manager.

Possibly. A bit of respect for their coach, a bit of common sense. What annoyed me was the amount of money these guys get paid to do something they love doing and they still can't keep it together for a season without acting like reckless teenagers with no responsibility or respect for anyone. The cultural aspect is or should be created by the Club from the top down, that's what's missing. New players to the club should walk in and quickly know their place and what's expected of them from their coach, management, team mates and fans, it's something they should look up to and be proud to be a part of. Who are the role models at our club for the new guys and younger guys ? JDB ? He's tainted. Lawrie ? Not a leader. Hunt ? Maybe but he has little support. And we have a coach who garners little respect and may be gone after a few rounds anyway.
Recruitment never went looking for leaders or guys to build a club around. It's more like every man for himself with us. You don't know if you'll be playing from week to week or be dropped for some old has-been for no good reason. Or indeed be let go, like Sims, when you've given your all for the club ( and when we need guys like him).
The good teams have a no nonsense coach and a strong core of experienced, respected players the rest of the team can follow and play for. It's not rocket surgery.
What annoys me the most about these players is, after that bbq debacle, they could have taken a good hard look in the mirror, manned up and played their hearts out for the rest of the season. Instead, these sgitchnts didn’t win a game for the rest of the year. A piss poor display from piss poor kids at a piss poor club.

Thanks Dave, glad to be back and mixing it up again, hope you and everyone else had a great xmas and holiday period. and as always returning to fold safe !!!!
Yes all good with me Justa and looking forward to your posts with all our other members'. Xmas/New Year has virtually wizzed by now and we are in the silly season and I cannot wait for the comp to start.

It is such a shame that we have another player in the news for the wrong reasons and something we could have certainly done without. Also it is really sad about Cody Ramsey having an illness that will affect his career.:(

Cheers DD

Junior is back in court tomorrow, still early days in a case like this.

Sullivan withdrawing his release from the club, a plan b?

So that’s a limiting of the clubs options I suppose as you would have been sniffing about for a replacement.

The reports say that the about-face from Sullivan was quick.

I suspect this meeting of minds -was a good thing in the circumstances.

I wonder how Junior feels about this and the ship that’s sailing. It would probably be unwelcome.

Still from neighbours video;

Doesn’t appear to be holding the reported hammer at this point, but at pace, suggests they are on the hunt.

Quite a contrast in stance, power and physique.

When I met him he was in a very different space.

The power of your average NRL player is pretty frightening, but as we know, even that’s not nearly enough to survive in the nrl jungle these days. That’s the sad thing about losing Junior as well. I thought he had a lot of still untapped potential. The best was yet to come.

Anyway, stats alone basis -he’s got a 7% chance of getting through it, not including nfsd.
