if Brett Stewart turn 19 this year, does he still qualify
first graders are allowed to play, for sure. but stewart's got to compete with Hunt for the fullback spot. hopefully Michael Weyman will be back from injury, because he's an absoulte gun prop. in other news, Todd Carney suffered an ankle injury in Canberra's PL semi-final, perhaps leaving that halfback spot open.

stewart owns cutie
one has only to look to last night to see cuties defensive blunders

They'll both be in the team in one position or the other.

Pretty Much. Stewarts the specialist fullback, but certainly wouldn't look out of place on the Wing. K.Hunt could play 5/8 or even in the centres.

Exactly Thuganomics. A hard hitting backrower but does not have the vision to play dummy half.

I've used 10 search engines, and viewed 50 webpages and I still can't find the side ?
What a joke! :x

Heard today that Brett was selected in the side. Didn't say what position but he is definetly in the side!

Bias aside....Stewart owns Hunt at fullback. He is way more defensively sound, has more pace and is more reliable under the high ball.

Stewart owns Hunt? Thats the biggest load of tripe I have ever heard. You would think Stewart was Darren Lockyer the 2nd if Many fans were the only people you listened to. As good juniors are so rare out the Manly club these days you can't blame them for overrating somebody. They maybe equal.....but he does not OWN cutie. Stewart=overrated

If merkin played for the Tigers,Manly,Souths,Warriors,Parra he wouldn't be held in such high regard. For Stewart to gain the praise of League critics and to be selected in the Australian side playing in a team that came third last, I think he's done bloody well. Hardly overrated.

Good juniors -
Jason King
Anthony Watmough
Sam Harris
Steve Menzies
Glenn Stewart
Chad Randall

Don't get me Wrong...I don't hate Manly or anything...I just cannot comprehend how Stewart is superior? cutie will be the better player in the future IMO. Bigger(Therefore he will be able to dominate in defence), Has a pass, vision, and has a better step. Stewart has pace, and some defence. In my opinion cutie will easily own stewart in the not to distant future,

It's simple...

cutie - 5/8th..
Stewart - Fullback..

cutie is a better all round player I'll admit. He has a solid kicking and passing game that will have him playing 5/8 for QLD if not Australia.
Stewart's defence is way ahead of cuties. Watch cuties last few games and you'll see what I'm on about. Stewart is lacking in size atm because he only came back from a shoulder injury 1/4 into this season. Expect to see him bulked up by round one 05.
