Horo is a good player but lets not go overboard.

Every team has a Horo like guy, but only we have a Mateo.

Have a think about that before you wanna let Feleti go cause of Horo.

The guys just so enthusiastic ....he does everything at a million miles an hour .....hopefully his attitude rubs off on the others more and more every week .

I havent seen Mateo open up the defence like Horo did in a long time.

I went to school with Justin. Im fairly certain he has Kiwi heritage, dunno where he was born though.

Anyone suggesting he replace Mateo concerns me. Quite clearly we need guys like him to complement feleti. Using fm as an Alan tongue style lock is madness.

We are nowhere near getting the best out of Mateo but we all know how good his best is. The petulance being slung at him by some people, when he is clearly playing a role forced on him, is mind boggling. I thought he actually defended very tight in comb with Hindy yesterday, but still a waste.

I had Justin as our best marginally in front of tt. Not just for their runs and tackles bit because both of them led the celebrations, the rev ups and were both wherever anything good was happening.

More so than the cocaptains were IMO

Hmmm, he wouldn't have been ready 2 years ago though... :sarcasm:

he wasn't ready last year...

he had a bad prep leading into 09 because of an injury and never really stepped up but this year he's exceeded expectations and more than deserves his spot.

How do you think that Mateo is going for a bloke who has State of Origin aspirations in 2010 ? Notwithstanding the "role" that he has been given, what score out of 10 do you give him for enthusiasm and effort ?

I'm a big Feleti fan but we did not see Mateo do what Horo did in attack and defense. Out enthuse. What Horo did, Mateo could've done easily, but he didn't have his mind out there to get his legs moving.

There was a J.Taylor clip showing the laziness of our outside defenders and Mateo was the first one lined up.

With the shack back and Horo gaining more experience next year, we will have him covered.

Although, I would love for him to stay.

mateo hasn't been great, but he's been a sh*tload better than alot of ppl are giving him credit for on here .... there's been times this year feleti has thrown himself at it more than most of the rest of our team, but then the landslide goes against us and he drops his bundle just like everyone else

Jarryd is still the best, but horo has indeed been ready

I agree with you about Hayne. He is the best player, by far, with daylight second.
I can't believe his efforts this season have been dismissed in the Player Votes in each match. With Hayne in the team, something positive is always about to happen.

Wouldn't know pete.
Do they have it there in Hay yet?

Suity

thats gold....

and so is Horo. I was talking him up to mates last year for their fantasy footy teams..then he got injured. :( But he's making up for his opportunities now.. I hope. He's streets ahead of Oake.

I'm really happy for Justin. Not too long ago people were worried he mightn't make it because he was inconsistent and perhaps not of First Grade standard.

But I am so stoked to see he got his opportunity and never looked back. Well done, Justin!

And well done Daniel Anderson - you showed faith in the guy and it's paid off big time!
