Justin Poore's nerves over taking on Dragons

Well if he is expecting Weyman and the rest of the Saints pack to take it easy on him, he will be in for a huge surprise. The first time he gets whacked he will realise that he no longer plays for the saints and is the enemy in their eyes.
Expect to see him involved in some sort of pushing and shoving in the first couple of minutes.

give him a surfboard, jump onto parra river and get ozzie to jump in and create a wave bang problem solved, otherwise let him drive to the beach, his a big boy he can handle it

If Parra are going to continue the crazy offloading game why did they go out of their way to recruit Poore in the first place? It doesn't make sense, tbh.

it does when the style of play was created after Poore had signed.

I'll judge him on performances... really don't care if likes he likes the area or not.

All I'll say is he better harden up because that St George semi against the Broncs.... well, he was soft and he got smashed.

What he said.

But Poore can offload. I think the idea was that Cayless is getting on and he had lost his passing before the line and offloads so he was being dominated, the whole pack was. Mannah showed promise but in a pack that was dominated he could do little.

Poore was bought as a battering ram to stop the domination. I think he can be used effectively and hopefully learn some ball skills from the others, he can create some great second phase.

I actually like Poore when hes running hard straight at the forwards. I think he did great in the Origin matches up against Price and Petro. I wouldnt want him to change his game much, but if Jarryd or Morts calls for an offload, throw the damn thing.

Poore's game goes completely against the way Parra play. He is one dimensional. He rarely passes before the line and rarely offloads. He'll need to learn quick to fit into that offloading game.

If he can get his arms free in a tackle and has someone in support I don't understand what's so hard about then passing a ball. :?

I think it was what have the coach's asked you to improve on and he said, offload more.

In saying that, if you watch alot of the hitups last year, Grothe and Fui made indents when one hitup was followed by another.

Grothe would hit it up, bend the line a bit and a quick play the ball allowed Fui to cause further damage before the ball started to be thrown around.

It happened vice versa too with Fui first followed by Grothe.

Now with Poore, he could take some of that role and so you have 3 who can rotate and really gain some ground and get the defense back peddling.

However, Poore does need to learn to offload or pop it out the back. It means that the defense can't gang up on him.

When Caylo did not pass before the line, he was gang tackled and submitted. Mannah, who tends not to pass was the same although he's probably a bit stronger or we expect less of him so noone made a point about it.

Now wonder what Shack can do? Big, tall hope he can stand in tackles and offload like Cronin or Hindy

The way he runs. It's always in a straight line, in an upright position and hard as he can. Which, as admirable as it is makes it easier for the opposition to tackle him and makes it harder for him to twist in the tackle.

I think its the getting your arm(s) free in a tackle as 3 guys try and belt you bit that takes a little technique

maybe he should stop being a soft c**k and get the inevitable outa the way and play the dragons nice and early, cos he's tending to think about it too much.....

Why not buy a house in the southern suburbs and drive to parra everyday, like many other players do.Would be the same at other clubs too

Its not the same, once you have lived on the coast you don't want to move to Sydney. Plus house prices are so much cheaper in the gong / south coast compare to sydney. I know for a fact trent barret also travels every day as well.

Look i hear you, but i think he's mentioned he missing the beach more than anything else. What i meant was he coulda found a place in the southern suburbs or even the northern beaches and commuted to parra for training or what have you
