Music is an industry that fools like you spend money on. Why spend any money on any of the idiots who cannot get real jobs as they have no useful meaning.

That's why I hate singers. So what, they can sing? Australian Idol - who cares? They're not talented, they can just hold a note.

I want to hear the music itself, not the singer. If the singer is well trained and has a great voice AND understands music, then that adds to the band. eg. Freddie Mercury.

But some singer for hire? No thanks.

I'm not averse to music snobbery - I'll happily dismiss entire genres like metal and Hi-NRG house without a second thought. Metal: for the "y'all don't know what it's like/being male, middle class and white" crowd; Hi-NRG: for pill-popping tards. But pretending to be too cool or spohisticated for pop just proves the opposite really, people come off as boorish bores. I think good pop music is a key ingredient of a balanced music diet - you can't have snap and crackle without the pop. And Timberlake has provided more than a few quality pop songs.

And not only can he boast the prestigious achievement of being in Jessica Biel, he's also been in a Cyanide & Happiness comic:

I can tell you that one of those blokes who is still in the running is a freak.
He plays guitar and keyboards very very very well...in fact, for his age his guitar playing is light years ahead the pack.

It just so happens that the bloke can sing as well.

hey I am not sticking up for Aus Idol at all.
I think it is the funniest show on TV ....the culling process that is.

I just know that one of them is a freak and he can play.


Having said that, Aus Idol will make him a star.

Maybe not your cup of blood.... but never the less he will do better than any idolist before him. IMO.

I haven't listened to the radio in years but I've been around long enough to know that Nova is a blight on music! It was always on when I used to go to the gym. Utter tripe. Only Triple M comes close to it in the shyte stakes!
